Hey, I'm going through some stuff right now, and I think most of it is due to a trip I had a couple months ago. It was the first and only time I've done shrooms, and I took 1/2 ounce of them. What followed was the most horrifying trip I never knew was possible, and I came pretty close to dying that night. Anyway, since that experience I've been having severe panic attacks and flashback-like episodes. I guess I'm just wondering if anyone has a thought or two about how to deal with these things or make them stop; I could really use any suggestions. Thanks so much.

Yes they were dried in the form of truffles. 1/8 per truffle, I ate 4 of them. A very stupid thing to do, but I'm just thankful to be alive.

If it makes you feel any better you were nowhere even close to a fatal (or physically dangerous) dose.

If it makes you feel any better, you pretty much can't die from eating mushrooms. I believe you have to eat your body weight in mushrooms in order to OD from them.
But yeah, I don't really have any experience or suggestions on what to do in a situation like this, but I'm sure there are a number of members here that do.

It may have helped you. I'd imagine it took some of the edge off.
But yeah, that really sucks man, I'm sure you'll get better overtime.
Just don't do mushrooms for a while, maybe take a break from drugs altogether.

Although dealers say the chocolates have an 1/8 in them, they usually have a little less than that.
How much did you drink? I always thought shrooms and alcohol wasn't a dangerous combo...

It isn't.
But maybe he drank a huge amount of alcohol.

Yeah true...
It probably did help numb the intensity of the trip a bit.
Although I could see liquor being a reckless, uncomfortable companion to your first (high dose) shroom trip...

Yeah.
Supposedly alcohol makes schizophrenic people have less hallucinations. Maybe it's also true for mushrooms.

one way to stop this from happening could be to confront you fear that started these in the 1st place!
if your genrally a happy person and enjoy life, organise a day out with friends in the woods or sumin and tell them why, maybe go camping or sumin with mates that you have alot of love for, trip on a low dose, maybe 10 - 30 grams (i couldnt tel lyou wot a low dose for you is exactly) wet mexican mushrooms!! you wont notice anything in terms of mind altering or visual distortion, but you will feel giggly! it will also help if your mates have taken some too! the euphoria of you and you mates joking will give your mind a posistive thought about life and how lovely it can be!!

Of the people I know that do trip again after they've had a really bad experience, all I've heard is it caused another horrible experience, and fucked them up even more.
Maybe it isn't true for everyone though.

I've never nearly that much, but overall I'd say I'm a weaker individual (physically) and so low doses (4 grams dry =~ 1/8 I think) get me quite fucked unlike my friends. So afterwards sometimes I feel shitty and have minor flashbax, and TERRIBLE panic/anxiety attacks for a while. Honestly, don't do mushrooms or plan on doing them for some time. You'll find eventually you'll feel completley normal again, no panic attacks/flashbacks (probably took me 5 months overall, but you feel the results much before then, this is just to be completely panic free). I don't plan on doing mushrooms for some time, possibly ever again. I guess I'm the kind of person who needs the perfect setting.
