can i just place a small mexicana a sclerotia in a bag to start inoculation

i have growth on agar plates
but the mexicana a sclerotia in my wee personal baggy is pure white and ready to go i think it wants to make kiddies

is this viable
as i am a newby i thought i would consult the elders of this tribe

and this forum is the dogs BollxxKs
