I lnow this is probab;y a stupid question, but how does one take a spore print, like if you already have the mushrooms how do you get a spore print from them?

You cut the cap of a mushroom of the stem with a sterilized knife and place it on a clean piece of paper or aluminium foil.

It is pretty hard to believe that almost everyday I see someone asking about how to make sporeprints, yet there is so much documentation on this site about how to do it, and lots of posts about it.
