Too much Humidity in my casing
    #336143 - 06/06/01 11:58 AM (22 years, 3 months ago)

I am very new at this and just cased for my first time. Just this morning the mycylium broke through the surface of my casing. I have the casing in a pyrex cake pan with about 1/2 in. of perilite on bottom and jiffy mix on top. the cake pan is sitting in a 10 gal. aquirium that also has perilite at the bottom. so the casing container has perilite in it and is sitting on a layer of perilite in the aquirium. moisture is condencing on the sides of the tank is there too much moisture.

1. is that a question or a statement?
2. i unerstand your new to this but you missed a very important lesson. Moisture on the sides of the terrarium is fine. It acutaly means your doing good.

peace and good luck

You really ought to duct tapt the sides of that pyrex. It keeps them growing upwards.

If you really have to much humidity, remove perlite.
