Ecuador Potency

Damn, ecuadors sure mature quickly. I know this guy that noticed that his flush of ecuador mushromms broke their veil and began sporulation in the space of an afternoon. He was somewhat concerned about posible reductions in potency. Any thoughts?

they should be fine.
I've only had one experience on them and they were potent.

i just harvested one of my bigger eq's and i went to work around 3;30(the veil had not been broken) and when i got home around 8 - 8:30 the veil was broken and there were spores in my fruiting chamber....crazy little devils arnt they

dropping spores will not make a mushroom less potent.

it will make a mess though...

it was like tar, sooooo thick.

Don't worry too much. When people say there is a loss of potency after sporulation, it doesn't mean you actually lose any psilocybin. It just doesn't make much more.

me ecuadorians are always very potent. sometimes i get up and they are way to small to get picked go out come back and there are spores everywhere. thats life. big really mature mushrooms will have less potency per gram weight that smaller less mature ones but you also have more weight in each mushroom so its a trade off.
