Too high humidity symptoms

I'm having even flushes on straight verm casings with pins covering like 60-75% of the casing layer, and have one cake in the same terrarium that is rampantly pinning also. My question is, it seems that the pins will pop up, grow...then kinda bog out, the heads darken in color (slightly, no they are not aborts) thsi is more noteable on the pf strain, then they will resume growth, but not much, resulting in short (2-3") healthy mushrooms. At first I thought it was just mushrooms being mushrooms, but this is the 3rd round that the shrooms have been really small and i'm startin to wonder if maybe the humidity is too high? What are symptoms of high humidity? What scenarious cause short mushrooms? Any input will be greatly appreciated as always :)

What you describe is typical of PF strain and too high humidity, also sometimes high humidity will cause the stem to get prickly at the base.....Fan them often....

well its not just hte PF strain, i said more so in the pf strain...i had a flush of hawiians, bout 35 mushrooms on the casing but all of em were only 2-4" maybe 5" tall and the whole lot only weighed 75 wet grams
