Spirit, undefined and eternal

By the time spirit is expressed through the human form via the ego, it has been greatly distorted through numerous filters and fragmented into a separate sole identity. What we are as human beings is not what we are as spirit beings.

Attatching human ego labels and traits unto spirit and then calling the ego spiritual isn't how one becomes spiritual. It is how one can delude themselves that they are spiritual by asigning distorted and fragmented human ego traits to the spirit self.

We are spirit learning how to become spirited humans. But geeeeeeez, these bodies are so heavy and dense. Spirit is light with zero density. The human ego and body can be damaged and destroyed and the human ego fears this to preserve itself. But Spirit? It has not one concern of the human ego. It has no reason to for it, as you are in spirit, you are forever undefined and eternal. What you are in human is defined and not lasting.

I just was moved to share this. Take from it what you will or nothing at all.

I was laying there trying to go to sleep and i was thinking about what i said :p I didn't mean to say that as an insult man, and i don't doubt that you are wise. Obviously i had a say in the matter aswell, so uhhh.....yeah, i'm going to sleep now, hehe.

Spirit IS indefineable by words, I said that. The ego is definable and can be understood with words. How the ego confuses itself with the indefinable of spirit is the topic at hand.

This can be discussed and better understood with words.

BTW, the wise man who does not say or speak, will never be posting at the shroomery or anywhere else. I don't know about you, but I never want to think of myself as being so wise, I am to good speak about my thoughts or feelings or share insight with others.


Arn't we collaborating ideas, opinions, beleifs, philosophies, insights and experiences here to all learn and grow from? Is there actually stuff we are NOT allowed to talk about just because we don't have words for completely comprehending intangibles? It's fun doing what we can with what we have.

Yeah...i completely 100% agree with this last post. For some reason i felt i had to reply to your first post, and blurted out whatever came to my head. I'm not good with analyzing these long, technical posts actually. I just reread your first post just now, and it is enlightening for sure. Jell, I agree we should question everything and put its usefulness and meaning to us through our own tests.

Can I ask you, seriously, if stuff doesn't ultimately come for "God" where does it come from? Is there another intelligent creative force out there fueling life?

Every written and spoken word on this planet has come through the fragmented distortion of a human being. What did God come and write here with it's own non human, mind hand and heart for us to read and learn from? I want my hands on that info.

each others words are all we have to move forward and backward or be still in the moment with when we look to words instead of the wordless heartfelt emotion within. I know thats the closest I can hope to come to anything remotely pure and it can only be felt. The minute you ascribe words to define it, you already lost most of the magic.

Things can come from the false ego, but they are really only shadows or fragments of the Source.

My point was to not be afraid to question anyone including ones own concept of "God". There is a long tradition of holy men questioning their God. The shaman, Moses is a good example when he asked why God didn't hear the cries of his people in bondage.

Buddha said never to surrender your intellect when receiving spiritual teaching- even teaching from him!

The reason is as you stated it. If we were in the purely spiritual realm knowledge is transmitted directly and without error. But we are in the physical, and words are indeed all we have. Words, and ones intentions can dilute and distort the original, pure message. We have to find a way to get to the essence of the message and questioning is one tool we have to filter out any impurities.

Discard your intellect and you are left with blind faith which is very dangerous. When someone sets themselves up as some sort of spiritual authority you better check your wallet!

Respiration, from Latin sp*ir*e, to breathe.
if you do not breath, you got no spirit? a dead person (not breathing) has no spirit?
a spiral is eternal?
if the spirit is eternal, and just for fun you take SPI and cal it:

draw a spiral and spin it around and around, it is indeed weird to look at? is it the spir'it of the spir'al we see? :P  :confused: :thumbup: :heart:

indeed cool stuff, you again brought my attention, to something i was not focusing on, if you spin a spiral, you can either focus on a 'point' and follow outwards, or you can focus on the same 'point' and follow inwards.. (?)
the spirit could be like that? breath inn, breath out, could be to no matter as long as breathing is(!), inn and out is just your focus?

one possibilities of what I'm saying is, that we do not have to breath? the spirit is breathing. and we all got one? you can breath, whit out doing it inn or out?
