Tabbed Browsing Environment in Firefox 1.0PR

I just reformatted and installed win2k on my shit? machine and installed a copy of firefox.

Every link I click on goes to it's own window instead of a tab inside of the instance of Firefox open.

this should be an easy fix, as I have found that bug fix article that addresses this problem Here

BUT I don't know what the fuck to do to fix it. I click on the links and it gives me something from a one step fix.

Anybody with this problem (or an idea on how to get back to my one-windowed+tabbed-browsing existance)?

Uninstall whatever tab-related extensions you have now, install "Tabbrowser Extensions" and choose single-window mode in the extension preferences. That's how I do it anyway.

Does download manager tweak in tab mode count?

I'll look for tabbrowser extension

TBE is good but it's not officially recognized anymore by the mozilla team...it has memory problems. I recommend Tabbrowser Preferences instead. easy to setup.

I just tried both, they both fixed the problem, though I opted to use bi0's solution because there is far less options (see:opportunites for me to fuck up) in the preference.

I prefer preferences as well. Tabbrowser extensions has more options, but it handles tabs a little differently than how I prefer.
