Purifier that fits in small spaces--Much Easier!! Check OT!

I saw an ad on tv for a minature Ionic breeze that plugs up in your bathroom, its small and compact and cleans mold and contams out of the air! Best of all it takes no filters, just wipe blades when it gets dirty. The reason I bring this up is it could help sombody with smaller incubators they could wire it in there to keep it clean. Or put it in a glovebox or whatever. Hope this helps sombody cause I ordered one for myself to see how it works. I know it costs much less than the HEPA, it seems to do the same job too! $19.95 Here!!

Ya'll know that if you get the big one for a free trial you can send it back and keep the little one for free?

If you want more options on them goto google and type in "Ionic breeze" then hit Froogle, it will find a lot of different ones, that was the cheapest price I saw on the mini-ones.

Its actually pretty small, so maybe. Depends on what size incubator you have.

It wouldn't be practical in a tub in tub, though. all that water and an 110v outlet could spell... well, ya all know..

I have this one in my fruiting chamber.
http://www.oreck.com/air-purifiers/refrigerator_air_purifier.cfm
got it with my big air purifier, but it works really well. I wonder about the effect that 03 has on fruits though. Would be beneficial if anything.

If its battery powered it shouldnt have much of a problem, I dont think it would short out. Maybe its relativly water resistent because its ment to be in a bathroom and I know after a shower the room is foggy as hell!!

lol. you should read how ionic breeze works. It works on inducing charges on plates. I really doubt that fog will be bad to it... I doubt that it'll have condensation on it, either because it's warmer than surrounding... but what about the condensation elsewhere that can drop on it? just a pazzzzt concern.

I can answer that. It's another device that can cause your house to burn down. I agree the risk is not much. But it's a real risk. Damn. I sound like Alan Leshner.
okay.. better put. It's like contam. why take risks?

Well its a very small device, if anything it would block a plug that is already sitting there. If anything was going to zap..I think it would have while sitting amongst this fog.
Why take risk? Because to me, it seems like 0% more of a risk having one of them little air purifiers in a plug in my closet but it drops my risk alot for contams. I mean I have a HEPA in there now, I take that out and put in the ionic thing, hows that any more of a risk? Besides the worst that would happen is it burns out and/or trips the surge protector (the powerstrip in there that runs everything)

Errr...
I hate to thread crap, but the Ionic Breeze and it's realitives aren't true air filters. They're hunks of garbage that are being investigated by the FTC because their claims border on just plain bullsh!t.
Sure, they remove some things from the air, but it's nothing compared to a true HEPA air filter.
I guess it would be better than nothing... but I think you would be better off designing some sort of HEPA filter box for your air pump. If the air comming into the chamber is clean, the positive pressure will help keep most other contaminants out.
Shrug.
