Everything we do in our daylives has its time do be, i just don't see the diference between drinking a beer and smoking a joint at 11pm, the system does i don't. Not all people which do drugs are addicted you know, it's all a question of principles and the need to have a strong personality, if you don't have any, then don't get involved.

I would like to end this, simply because I would like to contribute to the Newbie Community, so DEAL!
I found the Shroomery on the first of last month, about 44 days ago, you can see that I registered on the first. I Read
every tek on the web that I could get my hands on. EVERY TEK.
I surfed EVERYWHERE looking. I printed them all out and went home each night and spent HOURS studying each tek before I
ever bought my first material. By the 15th ( two weeks later ) I had placed four orders, and began buying my materials.
On the 2nd of this month, I started my first jars, on the 5th, I started another set, on the 9th, I started yet another. The initial jars I lost to contams, I redid.
I have 36 jars on top of my fridge at this moment, all of them colonizing, labeled, dated, strain specified. I have made more than ten syringes from prints, 4 of which I have used and do not appear to have any contam issues, and it is now the 15th.
I am no guru now. But I will be. The best way to learn is to teach. As I go, it will be at an accelerated rate in comparison to most people here. I learn quick. I read it, I take it in, it is now mine, in my head forever.
There is nothing that i wrote in my tek that I have not experienced. For a new newbie, my tek is gold, as a new newbie, I know this. So the haters can say what they please.
I am for real, I research and experiment with my shit like the homework i get in college, seriously. And i am here to stay, so, deal with it :) All 45 days of experience :)

I agree that it's ok to be a parent, and have a joint from time to time, grow a few shrooms, or even trip a little acid everyonce and awhile... What I don't think any parent should do is endorse the using of any drug, even something as simple as beer and tabacco. Speaking from personal experience, when I was a child, if my parents saw fit to introduce me to any "mind-expanding" drugs, I know I as well as my younger siblings would have taken the offer, sure, it'd be cool to have parents like that. But it would lead to other more serious drugs. Make it ok for your kids to try pot and they won't think it a big deal to try acid, or coke, or anything else more serious. I've seen it first hand, my childhood best friend ended up in the hospital because his parents thought it would be good to endorse pot. from pot he went to acid, at age 13. It's one thing to open your kids minds to these issues, its another to allow drug use around children or teens who have yet to establish their own life. Sure, most kids are gonna fuck around with stuff regardless of their parents say so, but it's easier to get in a really bad situation if child has parents who display usage from day to day. I've seen it a thousand times, my good friend works with kids whose parent have gone down the drain with drugs. You can't argue this, I'm right and your wrong. I'm all for getting stoned or drunk, but if I choose to have children I will be the one sneaking around in the alley behind my house, and hopefully not them. You might have kids, and you know them more than anyone else, but when any kid hits puberty, drugs are not a good answer. You may think that your children would never take anything to an excessive amount, because you've said "go for it, but in moderation timmy" but kids rebel against their parents no matter how much slack you give them, it's only a matter of time until your habits become their unhealthy habits-

I'm an excellent parent, regardless of my drug use (not abuse). My oldest knows what I do, because she is a teen. She knows I will not endorse drug use by a minor, but she also knows she can get the REAL facts from me. My youngest has no idea, still thinks root beer gets people drunk. My kids are extremely well-balanced, doing fantastic in school, and far more impressive than many of the other kids I know, who come from 2-parent, straight-laced families.
I think you're an asshole NewbieShroomer. You have no business giving shit to someone when you have NO IDEA what she OR her kids are like!!! You may as well have insulted me, since our situtations are very similar.

i said i don't pretend to be somebody i'm not to the world and especially my children. i think that honesty i a DAMN good quality to instill to your children. i am a 30 year old hard working, EXCELLENT mother who instills creativity, honesty, being true to yourself, be a leader not a follower and think for yourself type values in my children. respect your resources and mother earth, i really don't care about peoples opinion who don't have children themselves. you have the same attitude as those who group anyone who uses drugs as some bad, scuzzy person, lowlife person. if a parent has a casual drink at dinner a glass of wine or abeer after work there is no prob. why? cause the government says alcohol is legal. but if a parent comes home rom work spends hours doing homework with their kids, plays, bathes them, puts them in bed, and settles in their room to smoke a blunt (rolled in those lovely cognac dipped rolling papers!), or take a huge bong hit, i'm a horrible person. i'm not taking care of my kids.

are parents who smoke cigarettes also frowned upon for being not deserving of having children!!! NO!
like i said only people i thought that had the attitude that if you use drugs you're automatically a drug abuser were those who had no idea what they were talking about. if the fact that i do shrooms and smoke pot and have children puts me in the same catagorey as a "dope feind mama" and "the MAN" should come take my babies away, then what does that say about everyone else who uses shrooms.

While i find newbieshroomer to be annoying and a plagerized i am still on his side regarding this issue. Xazia you are stupid for cultivating scheduled substances in the same house as your kids. I would hate to see your case on the news about how the cops kicked down your door at 5am and where flashing sub-machine guns around in the faces of your poor children. Then they take your kids away and threaten you with them to try and get a confession. I seen it a hundred times before and I think you are ignorant for not seeing the WOD for how it is. It is sad but a mother should not be getting involved in illegal cultivation for the simple risks that are assumed in doing so. Dont think just because it was a couple cakes they can't do anything because they can. Just dont be stupid around young kids. You have your priorities assbackwards.

i agree with psilotor. this is one of the most childish threads i have seen in quite some time. i do feel that it is mostly weighted on newbieshroomer for posting something like his first immature post, but besides that: QuantumMeltdown- i would not call her 'stupid' in any way for cultivating around her children. yes it would be a problem if the cops did find out and press against her but i can almost assure you there will be no swat teams busting in with auto mp5's or anything. furthermore, this is her decision and i dont think its fair to try and bash her for enjoying her hobbies. the only thing wrong with growing shrooms is that its illegal. once you realize that, then you can see past the 'law' and look toward the more insignificant points of peoples lives these days such as ethics and personal enjoyment. as far as her priorities, i dont think she is that far off. almost any mother would value their kids well being over fungus, which is probably why she freaked out once she realized the severity of the situation. not just going to jail but leaving her kids behind and what not. my point is: growing for personal use and as a hobby really isnt the worst thing in the world; its just something which is punishable by law. i have yet to have kids and i cannot say what i would do in her situation so i cannot argue either way but as unnecessary as this whole thread was your post wasnt any better. and for what its worth Xaxia i wouldnt take that post to the heart. just know the risks and evaluate for yourself. even in court with a decent lawyer if you explained that it was for personal use and you werent dealing then youd probably get off. i know of people that have here in NY aniiway. i think thats about enough for this thread.

Yes, it's stupid to cultivate in the same house but USA system is stupid to work the way they do, it's a fucking disrespect towards an individual, the solution is hidding everything away from the cops ? where's your individuality? Your freedom ? It's reduce to a bunch of laws wich tells you what to consume and what not to consume. You may ask me, "What is she going to do ? I for one am sick and tired of the save the children at all cost mentality. I guess that is why I don't have kids. Drug use and abuse are totally different concepts.
If adults shouldn't use drugs when they have kids, and the majority of adults have kids, I GUESS ONLY CHILDREN SHOULD BE DOING DRUGS, right NEWBIE!!!!! LOL

I for one think, IMHO, that is is almost impossible to make a call on this matter without actually knowing the woman's way of life. I have know plenty of people who don't drink, smoke or in other words are completely straight laced and I wouldn't want ANY kid to spend one night with them. I have also known couples that do all sorts of partying and their children have grown up to be gentle, generous, thinking humans in their own right. There just isn't enough information to make the call here. Yes there is some disruption going on in this persons life. The end is if and when somebody else starts making desicions for her... But until that time, if it ever comes, the only person to make the call is her and only her. And I trust and hope that it never comes to that. It sounds like the person has a generally positive outlook and the cops didn't take evidence. It could be a wake-up call though... I wish the person and her kids a positive outcome... :-)

Hey man a swat/dea bust can occur for mushroom cultivation if it can happen for pot it can happen for anything. Wise up people. Im not saying all people shouldn't grow mushrooms im just saying be aware of the fucked up system and don't be stupid and involve your kids in it. You can always go pick them for personal use if you have to.
