Temp Control / moisture buildup ?'s
    #3241000 - 10/11/04 12:55 AM (13 years, 1 month ago)

A friend and I recently purchased this unit -
http://www.shrooms.ca/little_wonder.htm

we have yet to recieve it - but 2 main question's arose.

1.Because this unit will entirely cover humidification/gas exchange, will there be a need for a heat source to control temp?

2. What should be used as a casing: should I stick with vermiculite or would that retain to much moisture?

B+ strain will be used along with whole (9er) grain tek.

My opinion those are not all they say they are at all! For the money that is :frown: IMHO you got ripped. I personally will say you do not get the same pinsets from straight verm as you do from 50/50's and I've seen thousands.
Anyway you got it use it and maintain the fruiting chamber between 74-77F. optimally although 70-80F. is also acceptable. GL and welcome

No longer will there be a need to mist once, twice, or more times per day, as this family of humidifiers does that job and holds the humidity constant at a rate up to 92%.

Man, 92% should even be acceptable.

It looks like it's just a pipe in pipe using PVC pipes.  Maybe it will have some stuff in it, but that'll make disinfecting a nightmare.  And the air pump(looks like profile) is in a container taking suction from the chamber.  I'd say that's recycling to raise the humidity beyond 80% you can get with air stone/air pump method.  And if that's the only air pump, you are going to have to find a way to get fresh air to your babies.

IMHO, it's just an elaborate setup of air bubbler in a cup with pump in the tank method.  And the damn thing doesn't even include a $5 timer.  It's like the 80s "batteries not included" days. So sorry, dude.  I just had to get that out of my system.

I bet you are going to make a PMP or cannibalize the rig and make a PMP variant with it.  It's not all a rip though...  plenty of parts you can use in there, still.  Like the pump and the air hose...  and..  well.. i'll just shut up now.

Despite how I feel about it, I hope it really works out for you.  Good luck and many many wishes of giant mushrooms!!! :mushroom2: :mushroom2: :mushroom2: :mushroom2:
