MJ-induced acid "relapse"

I've read in a few different sources that after the first time someone uses acid, the effects of cannabis are altered in some ways.
How many people have experienced this phenomenon?
How long does this effect stay with you?
For example, someone took a hit on Sunday night and had an enjoyable trip. The next day, this person had a couple bong hits, listened to some Floyd, closed her eyes and had several distinct visions -- something that would never happen to her normally on just 2-3 bong hits. It felt very dream-like and "trippy." Would this perhaps be due to the previous night's acid? Is it likely that the visions were due more to placebo effect (i.e., the person was expecting such an effect, so her mind made it happen)? Is this a permanent effect?
One person she was with even said that it was more visual and "better" than the actual acid trip of the night before. I'm interested in this.
Any info/ideas appreciated!

I've experienced this more with mushrooms thatn I have with LSD. Mainly because i'm more experienced with mushrooms than LSD in general. It's happened to me weeks after i've tripped. But the most distinct differences can be detected in the first few days. In my experience everytime i get high is a little different now since i have tripped. Not that the drug is actually effecting me any different. When you trip your brain works in a way it never has before. It just seems that i can get back into that area of my mind a lot easier now that i've been "awakened" to it's existence. Especially while on other psychedelic like drugs such as marijuana. it's a pretty normal thing. My friends and I used to refear to it as the "afterglow". I'm sure many many others have similiar experiences.

I agree with Floydian - That is, mushrooms have this effect more than acid. I have noticed it personally with mushrooms (Psilocybin Cubensis) and I think it's quite cool. I have actually never dropped acid, though - but when discussed with friends that have, they don't actually report any such thing.
Don't forget that marijuana is actually classified as a psychedelic drug, and will quite readily cause hallicinations, ( especially closed eye visuals ) when you take good amount of really good stuff.Edited by The_Gnome_King on 05/22/01 11:05 PM.

cannabis tends to bring effects back towards the end of a trip. acid is a pretty long lasting drug, so the next day is like the very end of the trip.
also, i think once you've had a decent trip, you'll notice the visual effects of cannabis more.

pot definitely changed its face after i dropped acid.
but i did acid before shrooms, so i don't know if the shrooms did anything or not.
i just know what when i smoke pot i need LESS of it to get HIGHER and i also get mild visuals including breathing, colors, tracers, etc. at high doses i may sometimes get weak aural effects.
