Is it a good idea to bubble one of those filter thingies into a dish of water to create humidity? will it create enough or is it better to use the spray technique?

if you look in the cultivation section or just search for bubbler or bubble you would see that you are not the first to think of this.
ill still answer:
yes, its good.
glass floss, sintered glass, etc will improve humidification.
its possible to combign heating, humidification, and air exchange into one with this method.
read up on it.

Appearantly perlite seems like the way to go. I have not tried it though. My friend used to use a bubbler in a bong when he grew a year or two ago. He had some nice crops, but I don't know if he misted or did anything else of the sort. I must say though he did build quite a nice terrarium. He showed me the other day nifty sterilite container terrarium.

I just put in a fish tank bubbler to supplement perlite humidification. It seems to be working well so far...

With a nice size air pump with an output of around 8 liters per hour, how many times should a 10 gal tank be fanned daily? Of course I doub't it's running at 8 liters (The diaphram looks somewhat dirty) and highly highly doubt it is enough fresh air to not warrant fanning. Is this assumption correct?
