Fish tank for terrarium
    #1064253 -

My friend has an fish tank he doesn't need anymore, he could sell it to me cheap, I thought I could use it as a terrarium....(pf tek)

It's a 10 gallon tank, glass walls, with flouro light under the lid, and a water fitering thing that hangs on the wall of the tank...

I'm thinking of just put some perlite at the bottom for increasing humidity... And will the perlite be enough for humidity? The lid isn't totally sealed, it's an aquarium afterall.. I would really like to use this, since it looks so nice and professional...

What do I need for for air exchange? I went to the pet shop today and saw fish tank air pump, since they just said it would pump air into the tank, not sure if it would actually provide air exchange. Can someone post a picture of what kind of pump to use please.

Thanks for the replies.

new 10 gal tanks are about 9 bux. Yoi can cover with suran wrap or have plexi cut for about $6. Just dump in the perlite and fan ocasonally.

So perlite alone is good enough for humidity.

I was looking for more of a hands-free air exchange, therefore I mentioned the air pump I saw... Any suggestions? or pictures?

Thanks
