fish tank bubbler for humidity

would the pump of a fish tank bubbler get wrecked if you put it inside a terrarium due to the high humidity? Also, if you left the pump outside the terrarium would it still be able to get the humidity high enough?

Put it outside the container. A bubler alone is not very good for keeping humidity up. It is mostly for air exchange.

the bubbler inside the chamber would only recycle the CO2. needs to be outside the chamber. Baby Bear wrapped hers in coffee filters....Tyvik would work also.

of coarse air exchange would still be needed but if you left it in the terrarium the the humidity would be kept high. My question was would the bubbler short out or something due to the high humidity?

I doubt it. I also doubt it will create enough humidity for your cakes. Better to use perlite IMO.

why wouldbn't it? if it circulated the same air though the water constantly wouldn't the humidity get high enough after a bit? Then air can be exchange by fanning once or twice a day.

put the pump on the outside and you will get some fresh air exchange too.
here is an easy way to make sure that your air pump isn't sucking in contaminated air into your fruiting chamber.

Take the pump thing to the next level.

Depends on what you are using....cakes or casings.
If you are using cakes....damp perlite with a bubbler inside the fruiting chamber...notice the glass with the air stone in the top corner.

If you are doing casings...just a bubbler in the fruiting chamber will work. The glass is in the back corner (you can't see it) no need for perlite with casings.

To make a bubbler...use a aquarium air pump...aquarium air tubing...a air stone...small glass....water and h2o2 mix.
good luck!
