a question about green mold

hello!

i was just wondering what you guys would do in my case:

in the process of changing apartments, i left my aquarium with 2 cakes in the trunk of my car for a couple of days. these cakes eventually growing a nasty mess of green mold, which then spread to the casing i also had in there. the casing had a generous portion of green mold on it as well. i trashed these things and dumped the perlite from the container, but i haven't had the chance to clean it out thoroughly.. it's sitting in my closet on the top shelf.

this is where my problem arises: how can i go about making sure the closet is safe for further grow ops if that aquarium has been in there?

my solution was to use a 1/10 bleach/water solution in a spray bottle and giving it a good dousing. will this be enough to keep my future projects safe from the remnants of the nasty green mold?
