Could you beat around the bush more?

There is nothing more obscure in Christianity than what Jesus actually did and who he was.

What kind of a great prophet/Godman/guru lives life and leaves behind absolutely no writing?

It is up in the air whether Jesus had his own writings, but there must have been good reason for the early Catholics to burn down the Great Library of Alexandria around 400 AD. The Bible beats around the bush completely and is unreliable as it has been editted and (sometimes purposefully) mistranslated throughout the years for political perposes.

The Bible tells that Jesus basically had desciples who were able to perform miracles to some degree. This suggests he taught them. I'm sure he wrote about how he performed his works to some extent, does anyone know about this or have any imput?

buddha didn't write anything - the sutras all came later.

it may be better not to confuse the teachings of the church and the teachings of the christ.

What makes you believe this?

Well, I'm not Positive that he wrote anything by his own hand. Niether am I saying that he did. The fact I state is that the Bible beats around the bush when it comes to how Jesus performed his miracles. It completely excludes indepth details about it.

I think it's possible he didn't do all the stuff the Bible says, but it is also very possible that he did.

I'm asking if anyone has heard of anything like it, because it really makes no sence that Jesus would let people learn from him and write about it second hand when he could write and have preserved in words his message. If he did have his own writings, they would have probably been destroyed.

I'd also like to add that I'm not anti-christian, I just think they are mistaken.

He didn't mention any writings of his own, but he does say a few general things about how the miracles were accomplished. For instance he said that of himself he could do nothing, but all is done through his Father.

I find it interesting that there are some statements he made that are almost never mentioned in church. One touches upon your topic: He tells his disciples that he speaks to the common people in parables so that the innermost things are hidden, "but to you I reveal everything." So evidently he instructed them in secret teachings verbally which were deliberately hidden from the masses, hence not written down. Pearls before swine you know.

That actually makes alot of sence.

If I could command weather raise, the dead, heal the sick, etc. I wouldn't just teach it to anybody.
