Ive been using misting...... thought i dont really understand it... the first flush didnt have this problem...

If it is the second flush then there is much less water available in the substrate. If the shrooms can't get enough from the cakes or the air they will start to get a "scaley" appearence, if it gets bad enough they'll develop cracks.
