Potency of Caps vs Stems

hey guys -

kind of a newbie question here.. i was under the impression that the caps held more pyschoactive ingredients than the stems.. is this the case? would 1/8th ounces of caps have the same effect as 1/8th ounces of stems? my friend gave me an 1/8th of all caps, and I'm not too sure if 3 grams of caps will be too much for a level 3 trip. i've always eaten mostly stems on previous trips.

from what ive heard caps = stems in potency.. 3 grams of caps will definatly give you at least a weak level 3..

I had always heard that caps were much more potent than stems by weight. It seemed plausible to me, but I've eaten a mixture of both every time, and an hour later, that was the last thing on my mind. :)

Its just an old wives tale. Caps and stems are equal/near equal in potency. If there is any difference it is so small that it is completely unoticeable to the human body. If you can get an 1/8 of stems cheaper then an 1/8 of caps go on and get the stems, 'cuz your just getting ripped off with the caps.
