I imagine some types of fungi can do this easyer than others though what types of woodlovers can be expanded to new tubs for indoor growing using old tubs as spawn adding more woodchips for new tub and adding the proper casing

That is exactly what I did with my ps. Wayanadensis / IWL.

Looking good Blopblop!

The cyans here are really in full swing by now, and the subaeruginosa is really coming to life too.

And subaeruginosa

Nice! I’m excited to see ( and consume) some Subaeruginosa  and allenii here too. I’ve been seeing a lot of spots start pinning and then abort, I have to assume it’s weather related. We’re still getting high temps of 76*F and not enough rain. I’t’s a long season though, I saw this guy in early January. Plenty of time yet.

Wtf is that lol

Edit: Psilocybe villarrealiae is not in genbank. It's not a valid taxon. I need to do some more digging tho.

Fat subaeruginosa in this pot.
Same conditions as Blopblop. We're pretty close as a crow flies. Only allenii and subaeruginosa so far.

:awemazing: @ all the recent mushrooms, 'tis the season.

Last spring I started a couple small pots, one cyan & one allenii, from myceliated chips & grasses from some patches I found last winter.

The cyan pot started to push out a fruit from the bottom drain hole about 3 weeks ago and a couple more from the same spot 2 weeks ago. I've seen pics of that happening but what I'm surprised about is I only layered the chips about 4 inches deep on top of some soil with a lot of coco in it so I didn't expect the myc to drop all the way through the soil like that as quickly as it did (about 10 inches). I'm hoping to see some fruits from the top eventually, I can see myc at the surface between the chips. The first mushroom that popped out is a chonk though, cap is a bit larger than a bic lighter in diameter, I'm going to cut it tomorrow.

I don't see anything going on with the allenii pot yet, myc is visible at the surface of the chips though.

I'm around the far north coast of Cali, for reference on where things are fruiting...a little surprised to see it fruiting this early but I have found small patches of cyans before Halloween around here a few times.
