Got directed here for my recent trio. Second flush of Golden Envy  I'll need to grab dried weights, dried them all whole. Unfortunately the biggun had a slight accident when removing it out of the dehydrator... part of the cap broke off, a true tragedy

And here's some from my past flush, there were more 100gs, but didn't grab pics.

beautiful. what's the backstory on those, does KSAT = KSSS x TAT? I recently got some "KSST" that looked similar and I'm thinking it was probably this.

I came home from work with a smug feeling that I was going to hit 3 today. I opened up my tub and practically pre-mature myceliated my pants. Wow these are massive, beautiful, veiny, and still firm at the base. I thought I might be hitting a triple triple tonight. WOW it looked good. This beautiful mushroom was so heavy and floppy it couldn't stand up straight, hidden by it's beautiful brethren.

I put it on the scale and my confidence plummeted as I realized how delusional and arrogant I was - I started spiraling and doubting myself in every single way. Why didn't I check how hollow it was towards the top? Should I have given it a few more days? Why didn't I harvest it closer to the sub?

But then I saw the third digit and a weight was lifted off my shoulders. I've finally joined the club.

Beef, these from your wetter substrate experiment? 2nd Flush still showed the bigger fruits?

Got some MS jars of Yeti going, gonna try spawning them to the leftover straw that I have, see how they act.

YEP!

I run yeti way wetter now and I also use Verm and Gypsum which does seem to help.  I hate to say that because I talked so much shit on gypsum before.

ALSO, i do  a higher spawn ratio.  3qts to a 16qt tub with half a brick of coir.  I believe I have solved the micro-fruit problem and yes, second flush has been bringing these absolute giants which is fun.

Dope! Curious about the gypsum, what difference did you notice? Have you done a full writeup?

I think we should focus a bit more on data rather than authority voices. 5x water was the norm for a long time for example. Field capacity used to be small stream then stops quickly.

I bought a lifetime supply of gypsum for 20 bucks a decade ago. Thing is, it's recycled gypsum, so that means it comes from drywall, and who knows what amount of mold spores are in that.

So idk, I don't think I can safely add it to substrate mixes, but can be added to grain jars or cakes.

PS: i think ACC will like the wetter substrate.

I have not. No plans to right now but I may edit my tub prep tek. Gypsum did seem to just make for better fruits in general. I noted that the caps seem to mature better and had a blue tint to them I didn't get before.  It does make a difference but I haven't tested nearly enough to say what that could be exactly.
