Humidity will take your potency faster then 70 will, I have run pans at 70 for 24 hours by mistake and 1 gram still sent me to space, you should be good and yes back for another 12 hours.

Hmm, maybe not all dehydratiors are created equal

Mine is a cheap one though, here are the pan jar as mentioned and a cube jar as well, would you say yours look the same if run on 70°C for 24 hours?

So the pans have very thin stipe and in the picture they are for the most part white and some spores, but no browning from the dehydrator, you might want to check yours to be sure the fan is running as it's supposed to

Because around here in the summer, with the high temps and relative humidity, using just a tray with paper towels and a fan pointed at them leaves them somewhere between leather-dry and cracker-dry. Basically, when you bend the stem, it already snaps, so at that point I put them in an airtight jar with a layer of silica gel at the bottom.



12 to 24 hours later, they're just like Pastywhyte says — you can crush them into powder with your fingers. But I'm not sure if I'm actually losing much potency during those extra 24 to 48 hours.

In my opinion(there's always a debate about it somewhere ) I like to get them cracker dry as fast as possible around 70°C.

You could always run a test and try both.

Where is DavidB? Chiron?

I think TCs and anyone else who isn't brain fried agrees go strong and fast to dehydrate. Though I do suspect folks who see discoloration might have weak fans in their dehydrator.
