Light, potency, and dehydrating questions

Okay, I feel like I have some basic questions, so imma keep it short and sweet

#1: How does light affect potency while dehydrating? I know that it reduces potency but i wasnt sure if it was all light, or sunlight or, idk diffent color lights effected it more, Obviously im going to keep them in the dark from now on but i thought i would ask because my shroomies of my first ever flush have been dehydrating on this ghetto ass makeshit dehydrator setup for the past 24 hours with this bright green light blasting them, and I didn't even think about how that might effect their potency until now.


#2: My Shrooms have been in that dehydrator set up for about 24 hours now, no hear just purified air lol, but I feel like they should be dry enough by now? But you know theres that test that basically says they're dry enough when they snap in half like a cracker, but I think mine are too thin for that; they just bend over. Just given that information should they be dry by now?

1) Don't worry, that light won't change anything 2) If they bend they are not dry enough for long term storage

Is that a dehydrator? If not, just buy one. Or alternatively you can use your kitchen oven. Look it up.

No its an air purifier. I bought a dehydrator on FB but it only had a heating unit, no fan, and no setting to change it, so it's always gonna run between 130F and 160F. Also bought a toaster oven at a garage sale in hopes i could use it to dehydrate fruits, but tbh I haven't even looked at it since I bought it so i might check that out. Can't use oven, dont want parents finding out:wowz:.

160°F is fine, but I would get a new dehydrator with a fan and avoid the toaster oven, probably just burn them :uhoh:
