Agreed, it can be done in a tent, and I have, but tubs are so consistent, 6, or 12qts. I do sixes lately and save a quart of C/V.  Photos below from 2021, these were grown with Shiitakes, Chestnuts, Kings, Oysters, Turkey Tail, Lions Mane, all at the same time, I went a bit wild in 2021. These are TAZ, and I did AA+ in the tent as well.

Hey Hey, been a few days, MAN, the Blue Springs is an aggressive colonizer, it went all crazy on my casing, the Eungai, is the normal wispy sort of growth I'm used to.  I'm not used to marshmallow growth through my casing, but we shall see, if not, no worries, I have another jar on the way.  The Komodo/BVI and one of the NAT jars stalled out on me, it happens, but new NAT jar is looking great, and I just knocked up 5 more jars of spawn.  I shot 2 Ingeli, 1 Blue Springs, 1 Komodo, and another Eungai.  This was the rest of my WBS bag, goes fast, I'm actually out of VERM finally too, a 2 cubic ft bag lasts a LONG time.

I charged up the battery for the camera, but it's acting up, I may have to smack it around a little to get it to work, but I really need to get a camera that isn't 16 years old.  I cheap out on some of the things in my life, this just happens to be one of them.

Let's see here, OH, well, since I'm an honest grower, I fuckin' blew it man, the Bolles spawn was contaminated, I thought it was being interrupted and lagging in the SAB, but NOPE, bye bye bolles, but the Branched Oyster and Pink blocks are well on their way.  Definitely disappointed I rushed that one, but it's on me, we do what we do, and sometimes it bites back, what can we do, but get back to it.

I did however revive the Dancing Hens commercial Maitake syringe, this makes me happy since I've been wanting a rematch with this one for some time.

Both Mexicana jars are killing it, the first one has been growing stones before full colonization, I'm waiting on these, I could spawn one of the jars, but my environment is set for Pans right now, and they aren't the same, Tamps/Mexi love wetness, try that with Pans and it will be a Trich Fest without... a doubt.

I'll see later if I can get this camera to work so you can see this marshmallow growth, I may have to let the next tray of Blue Springs consolidate longer, I'm not sure, or this is just how it is with this one.

I still haven't had a chance to make plates, it's a decent amount of work wrapping 20 plates, and waiting for agar to cool, but we are finally going to have a cool weather spell for a while, this will help me BIG time.

The Ingeli tub is 9 days in and looking great, once I see a pin, I'll send it to the GH.  I did two more jars, really fascinated with this one and want to play with her for a few rounds. When I'm finished, I'll send a few outside see what happens.  In due time they say and... Enjoy the Day!

Damn camera is really close to being done for, the lense just goes all crazy on me, and it's been doing this for quite some time, but it's getting worse lately.

Check out this crazy growth, NOT a fan.

The Eungai is right next door, check the difference. Fogger was on at the time, but you can see how wild it is

The Ingeli is looking Luvly, 9 days in, filling in a few spots here and there, but it's about colonized.

And... today is Day 10 for the Ingeli, definitely progressing finishing up colonizing, you can clearly see the difference today.

The Eungai looks great, I hate this Blue Springs puffy surface marshmallow softness, I have another jar going and I will be letting this one consolidate for a few more days and see if there is a difference, but wow, VERY Aggressive, in my best Teddy KGB voice.

The pink blocks seem slower than I remember, but these pellets are on the cheap side, I feel like the pellets I used consistently were better than these, but maybe I'm just being impatient. The pellets I usually use are from Pit Boss, and are darker than these cheap TSC pellets, says it's supposed to be Oak and Maple blend (they def aren't pine pellets from them sterilzing, smelled normal), who knows, WE shall SEE!

The Branched Oyster blocks are HUGE, and doing well, can't wait to run a big block, it's been a while maxing out the capacity of the Unicorn 3T bag.

The Mexicana jars are on ice waiting on me, the 2nd one is almost colonized, and the first has been for some time.

The new NAT jar looks great, doesn't seem to be stalling, I'll keep an eye out on ER' tho', but all is well thus far.

Weather is finally cooling down and I hope to get some plates rollin' to play with these wonderful prints I've received.  I'm in Pan mode right now, so Pan prints first, and I'll get the Zaps and Semps going eventually too.

So much fun guy stuff to play with these days, I'm not used to being exotic heavy in the Golden State, can be tough getting genetics over the years, getting better, and I love it!

Hey now say now... update time... first PIN popping in the Eungai tray, the Blue Springs puffy nonsense is trash, I doubt it will produce anything.  I may throw it outside and cover it with my soil/compost as a casing and put it in the old 66qt mono like I did with a tray a few weeks back to finish it up. Worked pretty well, but the last tray got too hot, and was frying the fruits, abort city (heat wave), so back to the compost bin, the pinhead mold did not like those conditions... either.

Oh, the NAT jar is just about colonized, no staller this time, jar environmental issue, probably, the culture is fine.

Both the Mexicana jars are colonized, and the new run of 5 jars to finish off the bag of bird seed, Blue Springs, Komodo, Eungai, and 2 more Ingeli.  All jars currently looking excellent, Ingeli is fast on seeds, but like Cubes to bulk.  Check out the tray in the chamber on day 11.

A little metabolites going on, I've seen this with Ochra's too, no big deal... usually... knock on wood!

Check out the mess below, puffy sub, cased it 50/50 OSF and still kept running through it, aggressive, hopefully I can tame the next tray.

Eungai tray has been in the chamber six days maybe, finally showing a couple of pins, surface looks nice, this is what I'm used to, Blue Springs has thrown me for a tailspin!!

The new Pink Oyster jars are finished waiting on me, I need to go get more pellets, I don't have enough for 4 blocks.  The Dancing Hens Maitake culture is taking off now, can't wait to get those going, and then leave them alone for a good 4-6 months maybe, so long term goal with that one, but ONE can only hope I finally get a win. Time will tell.

The Oyster blocks are really close to fruiting, just letting the bottoms fill in at this point, but already showing little pins on top, Branched Oyster doing excellent in the 7 pounder bags, hopefully they give UP the juice.

Oh, I'm finally going to make plates tonight, been pushing it off for quite some time, but I want to get a few of the prints going since I'm in Pan and Ingeli mode right now for the most part.  Good Fun Guy times ahead... :peace:

What's good fungus folks, woke up this mornin' with a wine glass in my hand... whose wine, what wine, where the hell did I dine?

I did wake up to a few pins on the shitty puff ball tray of Blue Springs, along the edges of course, good news, I was going to send it outside and go that route, but at least a preview of what I'm working with.  I'm a glass half full sort of personality, and being a thrill grower for the most part, unless eating my woodie blocks, cheap hobby that makes me happy and keeps me grounded.  I went crazy with-it during Covid simply to keep my mind right with boredom and the world at the time in a bad place... thank you and appreciation to the fungus... you kept me going and I Mushluv you.  :mushroom2:

Alright, enough sentimental talk, I did shake up the 5 new jars (last of the wbs), the NAT jar is colonized and looks great.  I'm torn on this one, I kind of want to see if stones happen or just fruit this bad boy and go for it.  Either way, ready to play whenever I am.

Let's see here, the Ingeli tub looks great, perfect beads, no knots yet, but I'm betting it's soon.  Hopefully anyway, no guarantees in this game we play!  No worries, two more jars OTW... always plan for loss I say.

Alrightie folks, may your tubs be filled with bountiful fruits at the finish line... and always... have a good time

:dab:

Good afternoon everyone, I had a chance (finally) to get some agar plates going, my first water agar run.  Can't wait to put the INDO1 and Bisporus to agar, I may do the Estero as well since I'm kind of in Pan mode with the warmer weather and the tent is dialed in pretty good.  The Blue Springs is giving up pins in the open areas, but that puffy overlay is disgusting.  I gave the Eungai tray a very light spritz in a few spots, but the chamber is doing its job for the most part keeping the surface in check.

All the shaken jars this morning look fabulous and recovered no problem.  This makes me happy that the komodo/bvi culture is fine, I knew it was probably the environment in the jar, sometimes they don't like it and that's how it is.

The NAT is fully colonized now, about the speed of a cube, not slow or fast, about middle of the road.

I'll get some pics soon when the fog is off, beautiful orange capped pins, LETS GO!

The Ingeli looks like same, nice beads, no primordia yet, but no issues either, hopefully I see some progress soon.

My Maitake jar is really jumping off now from the shake a few days ago, not seeing anything to worry about, I NEED some hen of the woods in my life, not just a brain formation.

I just shutdown the international PR print giveaway, really cool sending letters across the world, spreading spores in a different way.

Tonight, I'll drop spores to plates and get that rollin', in the meantime, the GH will keep me occupied, shoot I ran out of VERM finally, no seeds right now, and I need HWFP's, always something to replace, but 2 cubic feet of VERM lasted a long time.  I did some research, the best deal is 4 cubic foot bags these days, I'll get a bag soon, casings and cannabis cultivation, it's a must.

Oh damn, I can't post anymore, it's my 420th post.
:growingweed:

Check out these phat pins, the Eungai is just starting to catch with a few early birds, but I like the size of the stipes and caps right away, nice and distinguished.

The Blue springs has nice pins too where it can actually grow fruits, I've never seen one this bad in person, it's UGLY... but the fruits popping, well developed, tells me the environment is great, a touch of dryness on the tray at the edge, slight adjustment, but not much, a little spritz good to go.

I'm seeing a little more metabolites than I would like on the Ingeli, but looks healthy and happy, could be just how it is with this one, I have a few more coming up, we shall see.

Honestly, I hate posting this tray, I luv mushroom/cannabis photography and she's GROSS to me.  Oh well, give me some fruits (nice looking tho') so I know what to look forward to, a few prints, I won't be mad about it... they aren't all winners.

Ingeli surface shot, I am back and forth with this one, makes me think there may be a problem, or I'm playing with Pans right now, probably just impatient... comparatively.

And... the SD card is full... only a couple shots of the Eungai, I'll offload the card to my backup drive and get ER' cleared up.  Happy 420... TO me, Happy 420 dear Mr MushluvR, Happy 420... to MEEEEEE!

:leocheers:

Yeah, the worst overlay I have ever seen in person, it was about to go outside until I saw a few healthy fruits popping up where they can.  Trash tray with overlay... it be that way some days.

Oh yes, I forgot to mention I'll be throwing some spores to Agar tonight.  I haven't done a spore drop since resurrecting the Peace River print.  I get a little giddy with spores, anyone can shoot up an LC from a vendor, this is what it's ALL about.  I enjoy working with something that's given, rather than me purchasing, but either way, I don't mind paying the piper to play with these exotics. I'm jus' tickled to get a hold of some these, a few bucks doesn't matter, it's a cheap hobby... overall.  But yeah, spore spreading going down... Estero, IND01, and the one I've been wanting to run for quite some time, Bisporus.  I'll save the Semp and Zap prints and get them going soon, but not my priority currently.  I may do a run of Semp,Zap, and Mexicana, they all like wetness, the tent is dialed for Pans, so not soaking wet like some of these enjoy.

Ps Cyans love wet too, can't overwater them, they are more likely to abort from high winds and low humidity, rather than a good pour down or drench.  My 2 cents for the day...

Hey fungus folks, I did drop some spores last night, but One of the prints was a blank... Oops, I'm sure it was an honest mistake printing and folding many foil wraps.  No worries, the Bisporus and Estero are rollin, hopefully see something in 5-7 days.

The Eungai tray is spitting out more pins, was a little dry this morning, light spritz, back in the tent.

The Blue Springs giving up dense clusters where it can with the massive overlay and fruits look nice and healthy, thick stipes and caps early on. But she is def not going to be a winner, give me spores and tester fruits, be done with it.

The Ingeli last night and this morning looking like a little rougher "terrain" on the surface, should be close, but no expectations with this one, the unknown, and I have two more jars ready soon.  Either way, WE here to play!
