Liquid cultures from isos

I received some Albino Penis Envy Isolate that I tried using to make liquid culture.

I am unaware if my previous successes were from isolate or not but they dont seem to be germinating this time. Is there a reason for that? Also. Ive tried seeking answers elsewhere but it is still unclear to me.

Thank you for any insight. Its been a couple weeks now with no activity. If itd be better to just put it to grain Id like to get on the path of least resistance.

germinating where, in the LC or in agar? Is it an LC mix you've used before? What sugar source?

LC to grain isn't without some risk, but for quality vendors that risk is quite low, if you're willing to gamble some lost time and a few cents worth of grain, fire away.

depending on your location this time of year, they may have gotten very, very hot in a mail truck or something too. quite a few heatwave casualties across the pond lately.

I wouldn't go to LC's if you're looking for the path of least resistance. You're adding more frustration that is unneeded.

What I would do though is get set up to do agar to check your vendor bought items before putting anything to grain.

Thank you for your responses. So..I get spores syringes from a vendor and then usually add 1-11/2 ccs to a 200 ml jar of sterilized water and light malt extract to make liquid cultures to get more from my syringe. Have had great success in the past with this..I thought about the heat during transfer..:/

So I could take isolates and essentially do the same as the multispores as long as they are still viable?

Spore syringe to LC isn't a great plan. Also "isolate" is marketing fluff, but it looks like they already got your money...

It might not be a "great plan " but its def worked for me almost everytime Ive done it effectively turning 1cc of a 10cc syringe into 20 other 10cc syringes.. im ballin on a budget amigo, lol. I appreciate you giving some.insight tho. I def feel the marketing fluff and yea, they most certainly got me..

Russian roulette can similarly seem like a "great plan because it worked out for me" 5 times...

If you're "ballin on a budget" why the fuck are you giving $ to vendors who are trying their best to fuck you out of said $???

If you hang out in this community long enough, you will gain access to the marketplace. And the knowledge required to make use of all that entails. Reddit ain't got shit on that, nor do vendors.

To address your original post - if you had success doing this, then you bought vendor LC. Not a spore syringe. That shit doesn't work. Well, maybe 0.00000001% of the time it is possible, so you better get to work to make that non-zero percentage come true.

I dont know what im missing.. Ive only gotten multispore syringes, eith purply spores that I use to inoculate a light malt extract & water solution. Wait about a week and have hundreds of angelic floating bodies that I have inoculated grains with and had a plethora of successful yields for years except for this isolate..

I use vendors because I haven't leveled my game up to spore printing and being self sustainable..yet.

Ive literally used spores syringes to make LCs and have had many yields from them..what do u mean? Also..be cool if people would stay on original topic instead of telling me what I am and am not ready for. I came here for insight.."im not ready" isnt good enough. Thx anyway, tho

Maybe your isolate cooked in the mail? Do you have supplies for testing the isolate on agar or BRF cakes to test for viability? Pictures of the syringe, without vendor info, and your LC would be helpful. Include your method for preparing LC.
You grow using methods that aren’t recommended here  and the responses are based on that. You’re looking for insight and members are looking for info so they can troubleshoot and be helpful.

I appreciate your response. Im thinking maybe they did get cooked in the mail. The 2nd batch has worked out great. I do small batch for personal but use a pint jar, fill with 200mls of water and about .4 g's lme, sterilize, then inoculate.
