Al sayed talks about abolishing ice, to make a new immigration enforcement that isnt a paramilitary force.

That lady doesnt seem great at communicating around her stance on police..

In Australia there was plenty of talk about Australia day and whether it should be a celebration or a remembrance sort of thing and whether the date should be changed or removed. Either way, ain't no public holidays getting removed me hopes!

I just saw a great clip, where Haley Stevens was saying something about school children being afraid of ICE... and El Sayed came back with: It's great that you're saying that now, but you voted to increase funding for ICE 4 times, and even voted to THANK them for their service! :lol: daaayum... gotcha bitch!

But she already did say them in her tweets, when she was a regular civilian like the rest of voters that are ashamed to benefit from such evil acts and systems. "Colonialism is wrong" is truth to the average voter. People just disagree about how to correct it, with most people choosing to just live with the guilt because that's more comfortable than actually changing anything.

It unfortunately reminds me of Kamala on the campaign trail, when she'd say "we are doing everything we can to help Palestine" out of one corner of her mouth, and "Iran is the biggest threat to USA" out of the other.

If the average voter can see what's happening in Gaza as a genocide, it shouldn't be hard to figure out what a shit deal the natives got. I guess it's just easier to fight genocide when it's not the genocide you're directly benefitting from.

I suppose that would all be easier to address after disarming the corporatocracy, but that'll never happen if people only ever think about what's best for them personally. It's easy to vote for small DSA policies that will make voter's lives more comfortable in the short-term, but I think the low hanging fruit we can wrestle out of the rich won't last long. Voters making personal sacrifices to further social agendas is going to be the last resort.

Trump could take away all employees protections and benefits.  Abolition of justice system.  Permanent mashal law. Nuke city's or state that don't fallow orders. Remove banking protections to citizens, make mandatory military serve.  The sky's the limit to bad policies a far right could do.

It's official... El Sayed won!!! I wish it was by a wider margin than 1%, but this is a pretty big deal, considering Haley Stevens spent $9 to every $1 spent by his campaign.

People are really rejecting corporate funded candidates. This is phenomenal to see!

When these progressive candidates go on to win the general elections, it will really be a demonstration that our brand of politics is what is really competitive against Republicans. Not Milquetoast, uninspiring corporate Democrats.

Trump already gutted the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau (CFPB), which is financial protection. Hes pardoned corporations and felons for donating to him, he even pardoned someone twice for the same crimes.

Due process is seemingly gone for plenty of people with how ice is acting.

I meant what more could he do that would be too much for trump.

He almlst tried marshal law in his last term but was told by his generals not to.

He increased the age for army registration to 40+.

You've basically made a list of things hes done or tried to, bar nuking the states.
