Burma problem question
    #2955939 -

I have had a plagued burma Operation and it has been determined that it is a failure. the failure does not really bother me, but I would like to learn from the mistake. During the casing's autopsy, It was found that rather developed pins formed on the sides of the casing, but not on the top where the casing material was located. what would cause the pins to form opn the side rather than the top. I used aluminum trays and light exposure to the sides was minimum.

Simple ... near the edges there is a higher humidity level and therefor you got shrooms there first. Until I started using a humidity tent with a ultrasonic humidifiier I almost always got the same results you are having, except the containms. :frown:

couple of questions for you...

What are you using to create humidity?

Is the top of your casing wet, damp or almost dry during growth?

I am using an ultrasonic humidifier. What is this humidity tent you talk of? the casing top was damp, not to wet though.

Anything which holds humidity in. I lined a closet with plastic sheeting and made a door out of pvc pipe wrapped in plastic.

It works good
