And stealing someone's vote seems completely possible. If I know a person that is registered and voted federally before and where they live, I could use that information to get a ballot since they wouldn't be required to show ID. Sure you have to sign the book, but they're not doing real-time signature verification, so that ballot is getting counted.

As far as I can tell provisional ballots get put in special envelopes until the signature can be matched to the one on the registration. They get counted after.

That's not showing me. If you sign a smile and it doesn't match the registration it will not be counted.

If someone is:
a) already registered 15 days ahead so they're in poll book
b) already voted federally before and verified a document previously
c) you know their address and name

You can just walk in to their polling location, state the name and address, sign the book, and be given a regular ballot. You wouldn't get a provisional ballot and I don't believe they check signatures for regular ballots. At least they don't check my signature in my state when I vote, so I assume they're not checking there. I think they only go back to look at the signature when there's a duplicate vote cast or something triggering further investigation. But that would happen after the vote is already cast. I have no idea how it works for mail-in.

I already demonstrated you can register very easily, and how the election workers are instructed to give benefit of doubt.

how dare registration be easy it should be a 60 step process which requires a digital anal cavity scan for true verification of citizenship. btw if it’s your first time registering you still need to bring some kinda id to the polls. this is publicly available information if you just did the reading

Not for local or state elections, if you simply check a box saying "I don't have that shit, I'm homeless". Then they assign you a unique identifier to use in place of ID.

A bank statement or a paycheck proving residency for the first federal election.

And then you're enrolled for life and they never question your identity again.

I'm only going off what the government's webpage says though, so feel free to link a source and point out specifically where I'm wrong. I'm not pushing dogma and expect the same in return.

here’s my source on homeless voter registration no dogma here only the brutal truth. you’re not really enrolled for life either, clearly states if you get a house(change address) or change political party association you have to update registry. https://vote.gov/guide-to-voting/unhoused

"Each state and territory has its own voter ID rules. You may not need an ID to register to vote, but in most states, you must bring identification to vote in person."

That's a federal website that links to state guidelines, the same CA site I've been quoting.

"in most states, you must bring identification to vote in person"

Can you concede that CA isn't one of most states, whose local and state elections don't require ID? And that their document requirements for someone's first federal election allows bank statements and paychecks? That they either can't or don't verify?

There's nothing enforcing that requirement to update registration. I assume most people would do that; but playing devil's advocate, someone could farm registrations of people that forgot, or never existed in the first place. And since there's no photo ID check to vote, you'd never catch that.

yeah sure i’ll admit cali doesn’t always need an id here’s why voter id isn’t like most states the motor voter program (google for in-depth info) basically already verifies when you have an id.even when you opt out you still need to show some kinda proof just like i been saying this entire time. source

“If a voter or new registrant does not present proof or a document that complies with this section, then the voter or new registrant shall be advised by the poll worker or other election official with whom the voter or new registrant is conferring that he or she may vote a provisional ballot and the voter or new registrant shall be permitted to do so.”
again if you don’t have it they’ll just end up verifying and if you can’t be verified your vote isn’t counted simple as that.

can you show me where it says election workers cant verify bank statements I personally haven’t found evidence suggesting that they can or can’t.

The paragraph right above your quote. Line (b)

"This section shall be liberally construed to permit voters and new registrants to cast a regular ballot. Any doubt as to the sufficiency of proof or a document presented shall be resolved in favor of permitting the voter or new registrant to cast a regular ballot."

To me that says as long as you show up with a document on the list, they're instructed to give benefit of the doubt that it's legitimate and worthy of a regular ballot. They can't legally withhold a regular ballot or give you a provisional ballot just because they doubt the authenticity of a document you present. You'd only get a provisional ballot if you brought nothing at all.

Quote:

Yea, some kinda proof specifically includes a bank statement or paycheck. Something that could be easily forged by just about anyone to pass CA's verification process of "Well, this looks like a bank statement. You're verified!"

And again, that ONLY applies to someone's first federal election. A homeless registration in CA could vote in local and state elections without ever having to show any proof of residency or identity, not even a bank statement.

Coincidentally the republican candidate that just lost the primary election in LA made a video all about this:

They should be able too, but it could be abused if it works like.he says, here's one example I can make up

Bob is homeless, he didn't vote or care about politics

Jake is a crazy conservative who thinks trump.won 3 elections, he knows Bob won't vote, Jake votes twice, once as himself, once as bob

People get caught every year doing shit like that but usually it's their dead or infirm parents they vote for.  It's just one of those crimes most people aren't motivated to try.  The penalties are severe and there's no payoff.

Well, time to nut up and demonstrate the flaw. Go vote and see what happens.

If you think you've discovered a massive exploit yet there's no good evidence to point a towards, the most likely explanation is that you are missing information or don't understand the info you already have.
