You'll probably like this little tidbit @syncro, I was doing some hardcore cleaning in my bedroom this morn- fully in the zone- and the words or phrase (phonetically) AVE NIAK came into my head. Now after the fact, it was where the vent is just below the sticker of Neem Karoli Baba on my mirror corner. This is something my gf pointed out that I hadn't thought of, yet adds a fun dimensionality.

I searched AVE NIAK for fun, since I already assumed AVE meant HAIL (hence my offering you hails earlier in retrospect) seeing NIAK was french slang for a doobie I laughed thinking right enough I could go a vape of some dank before tackling the rest of this. NIAQUE meant "grit" or "fighting spirit" so maybe just clean then blaze?
:badsurprise:
Then I checked Sanskrit real quick, with AVE meaning roughly to learn or percieve, or to know, to understand and NAYAK meaning leader, hero or chief- moreso militaristic AFAIK but still around "hero".

Another cosmic thread in the latrine mouthed Babas magic blanket.

On the holy moon last, I found myself also in obligatory cleaning and fixing mode. It was seen as seva as the connection was knocking, and I ended up in my altar space and lit the flame. Service showed to be a way of purification. I repeated a particular Guru mantra for a bit, the moon in purnima. And I had vision of a one from Brahmalok I like to say. He like Maharaji is also one with Hanuman.

I'm not sure if it's useful to attempt to discern his expression, but he was rather fierce, looking at the whole context of my field. They are liberating forces in oath.

I used another mantra to try to go into the blackness, something of the mahamudra, or annihilating force, ... and had some success in spite of my unprepared state, the dharma body sometimes I call it, and it takes deity form.

The Field of Plenty, gratitude, the descriptions around thought form perennial. I think those writing the spiritism books connected with the natives, as "all thoughts come here".

We all become, are liberating force. But what are we liberating ourselves and each other from, does anyone know the wetiko?

The form of gratitude does not matter, the wonders and power of people. The Field of Plenty is a sea of prana.

What is more truly our body, the flesh or the life force? The flesh is also force, or maybe only form in its own. It's said there is only form and force. What's the trick with matter and flesh if so? I've thought it may be as thought form very much slowed or frozen. Who can say though unless well experienced in seeing the nature of the creations of light? It is not a thing unchanging that makes a problem, a solidity. So it is in the purpose.

The creations of light can be highly substantial, more so than sensoriness of the physical. Perhaps if it ain't lila then who wants it. 'They would flee if they could.' Lila is ananda. There can be no approach to love through weakness.

That was said in ACIM, but there is also the gentle nurture of like the innocent babe. That's right, in that work, only innocence is strength. So what is wetiko? Guilt.

So we fear the power of mind, and cannot respect it as such.

Yogananda told of his story, he lost his mother when young, and was very close to her. Her eyes in his memory he realized were universal, those of God.

In those eyes are the daughter of the earth whom we would liberate. She is us, abducted by the ten-headed demon, the ego, and the five senses and their objects. That is yoga.

It's so dismissive isn't it? Of "that which is seen with the physical eyes" said in ACIM.

Thanks for the share man. And you touch on some ideasthat have been on my mind.

Firstly there are all sorts of things we wish to be liberated from. That's a moment to moment question.

As for guilt as wetiko, well I don't think guilt covers it, or selfishness. I'd put it closer to illusion or artifice but a successful mind virus would be more mercurial than so simply pinned down with a word...

It seems throughout history, many wrestle with the idea of self interest vs altruisim or however you want to say that. Partly, it often does seem to hinge around remedying selfishness, or looking at conscious selfishness vs unconscious sacrifice (on the other side of that one: conscious sacrifice vs selfishness as unconcious self preservation...)  offering something of an antidote against what could be felt as unease from either side, the guilt you mentioned being as much of a virus as conscious selfishness- posited as such in 'Wetiko', be that from participation or not. Because the guilt, as well as selfishness is state dependant, IMO, the state being 'individuality'.

Personally I feel like our understanding the cause is incidental, processing continues externally no matter our reaction and it's as much about balance in polarity unfolding in experience than the experiences specifics- like much of the things we mythologise & story tell about as a species- but spiritual value does emerge all over the place by virtue. And I mean "virtue as an opening" as described TE in Tao Te Ching, not virtue like good two shoesing. This is the play of it, our striving- and then returning.

Alignment, faith, skillful means, right effort, honesty?

Check out "The solitary self" book, you might like it.

P.S I also liked the idea of liberating other people, that was funny
:hehehe:
Please keep your liberation within the confines of your own vessel at all times during the cosmic ride.

The disciple aligned with the work of the teacher is part of the liberating force. 'they will do my works, even more so...', 'they will speak my words..' They all say that.

The divine name does not judge. In whatever longing or impulse you do your dharmas, you are certainly liberating influence, if thought is shared. In some of that which you share, did you not put us in an aligned state? That you did, or it was done through you. It's not a statement to ego's credit, but in spite of it, given.

It goes to how we reject, fear our power. That we don't consider ourselves as one is a main admonition in Acim... 'Jivatman is paramatman...' You are bodhisattva.

We can talk about degrees and self sabotage and lameness. A constant process here I think is in that we don't believe them about the power they say we are.

Trying to pin down again the concept, we can choose to reject it out of fear it is dangerous, at the price of self-respect, or respect for the mind that is given.

On the other hand, it seems the fear is justified. I was picturing it like this, God is innocent, saying to one and to another, you can use my prana, I trust you, you can use my prana, I trust you...

Yet ego can still be involved. Ravana was a great devotee of Shiva, and used the prana to conquer the heavens and the earth.

Now we might say all this is too much about the individual self. If you make yourself disappear, there is nothing left but the power.

So we can disappear our ignorance, but could never change the actual.

Quote:
Avalokitesvara Bodhisattva, while contemplating deeply
the prajnaparamita, realized the five aggregates are empty
and was liberated from all suffering and hardship.

Sariputra, form is not different from emptiness, emptiness is not different from form. Form is emptiness.
Emptiness is form. The same is true of feeling, perception, mental formations, and consciousness.

Sariputra, all phenomena are empty. They
do not arise or cease, are not defiled or pure, do not
increase or decrease. Thus, in emptiness, there are no
forms, feelings, perceptions, mental formations, or
consciousness.

No eye, ear, nose, tongue, body, or mind; no form,
sound, smell, taste, touch or dharmas; no eye consciousness so on unto mind consciousness; no ignorance and extinction of ignorance; even unto no aging and death and no extinction of aging and death; no suffering, cause of suffering, cessation, or path; no wisdom
and no attainment.

As there is no attainment, bodhisattvas who
rely on the prajnaparamita have neither worry nor
obstruction. Without worry and obstruction, there is
no fear. Away from confusion and delusion, they will
ultimately reach nirvana. All the Buddhas of the past,
present, and future rely on the prajnaparamita to attain
anuttara-samyak-sambodhi.

Thus, know that the prajnaparamita is the great
profound mantra, is the illuminating mantra, is the
most supreme of all mantras, is the unequalled mantra,
able to eliminate all suffering, is true and not false.

Thus, proclaim the “Prajnaparamita Mantra,”
proclaim the mantra that says:

Gate gate paragate parasamgate bodhi svaha.

Verging on the eternal..

Probably creations of light can serve as bridges and gateways to the Eternal. The Great Ones have established such bridges for us to walk across, especially those who have lived in human form and transcended the human condition, and we can walk their bridges of light, invoke their memory and Word, and then wrap our own lived experience of it around the bridge, forming an even more powerful device for others to utilize to bridge their Wholeness.

Some might even make flying rafts, underwater tunnels, ally with friendly beasts who can carry us across to the other shore.

Many Native Americans who had been forced onto reservations, began to practice the Ghost Dance, with the prophecy that the whole world would be rolled up like a carpet, and a New Earth would be returned to us, pristine with the buffalo roaming proud and free again.

I am drawn to practices that have that "regenerative" feel to them. The soul feels renewed - especially after being exposed to the pervasive death-cult culture that we mostly are immersed in, based on beliefs of insecurity, not-enough and you have to scramble to get yours before someone else takes it first.

We've lost any sense of real community, in this dominant culture. How do we replenish one another and ourselves all together, right now?

Perhaps the guilt arises from seeing a sort of false dichotomy in self-interest vs altruism? I know this is not what you mean by altruism, but there is a pervasive sort of belief (at least as a child this is how I took it from the adults around me) that being "good" and self-less and altruistic, means to sacrifice my own happiness to some degree, and to suffer. Also, I was raised in the Catholic tradition, so there is that idea of the crucifixion and "he died for our sins! The ultimate sacrifice. For us lowly sinners who will always be sinners." And so for we as individuals to approach this merit, we too must suffer, sacrifice, and feel the pain.

But to be self-less through seeing that my-self and your-self are same-self. Maybe no-self. Or All-selves.

What a relief to not have to strive so hard to maintain and protect my-self, since all together we are co-operatively regenerating our-selves

@ syncro, they all say a lot of things
But ok, I appreciate your additional writing there although at the minute I still look toward teacher & disciple alike on the path since- in our hands- only time and devotion are the differing factors.
Not that teachers don't deserve respect, but that the type of 'liberation' we can get here is as much in the hands of anyone as the next person.
I feel like those are the times we are in.

@Blue, well that view isn't lost on me, raised catholic too and been gladly learning to move on from that flavour of guilt- here syncro already put guilt as to be something of a mental virus or a meme.

And in a book I'm reading that I mentioned above, the attribution to 'selfishness' moves through history, products of the times dictating the story, and rallying against the last often becoming a tenet of the next. Thats what I think it's like on a micro scale with our responses, often.

Although I know where you're coming from with that: doing good for the group making the group a better place for you etc.
You might like that book mentioned above too, in fact I think you'd even quite get some kicks out of "Free play: Improvisation in life and in art" might be worth checking out.

I do share in the relief you mention and express gratitude when I remember the tenderness, freedom and obviousness of not really feeling like a seperate self.

Have a good night guys

that is to say, how your last held belief might affect your standing going into the next, if you get me
