Ufo's - NASA "lost" videos

What concerns me most is the astronauts descriptions. I guess if people don't want to believe what they are seeing, then they will see, in fact, something different ... or are they just lying ?

The problem I have with this and many other documentaries of this type is that they seem to be shooting themselves in the foot by mixing the truly intriguing UFO videos like the lights circling MIR, with stuff that is clearly just man made debris tumbling away into space.
These kinds of documentaries do not clarify the situation, but only muddy the waters even more. These people want to believe so badly that they try to fit everything into their pet theory.
Having said that, some of these films require some serious examination. Even if these speres of light turn out to be a natural phenomenon, the insight gained in the workings of the upper ionosphere would be worth the effort, and it would even help in determining the presence or absence of real extraterrestrial craft by excluding one school of red herrings from the pool of UFO evidence.

Correct,
A UFO is exactly that a UFO.
People generally are unclear and seem to think UFO = Alien ship.
This confuses the matter even more.
I've stood just meters away from one of these 'Silver discs with lights around it that performs unknown methods of flight/hovering', but what the fuck do I call it?
Nobody, including I knows what it was!!!
Like you say, the evidence is hidden among a sea of hoaxes. Theres little chance of it being proven that these 'ships' are real. It can only be proved to the individual that sees one close up and has an open mind (not to label it as anything).

It's the spooky ambient music in the background that makes people believe.

Not everyone that watches believes though?
Your theory has failed.
It may add to the belief for easily brainwashed people but if they can be that easily brainwashed then I'd bet their whole house is filled with un-used products.

some of those things are definitely not debris. Like the one set of UFOs that formed a circular pattern, then another UFO flew into the center and lit up. And theres also some shots of the UFOs changing direction.
I never knew there was so much UFO activity going on in our orbit.

danoEoboy, am I starting to see a shift in you from blind faith to thoughtful consideration? Bravo! (Not that I find fault with blind faith, but I appreciate and respect people that think before they speak.)
MAIA, a quick thought...
I used to work for the government many moons ago and we lost stuff all the time. I worked in a secure area which very few people had access, and we would still loose stuff. I was only involved with a single satellite, and the amount of data we brought down was unimaginable. Literally, thousands of terabytes of data per year when PC hard drives were just starting to reach the 1G mark. This was a drop in the bucket compared to what NASA has to keep track of. I am quite amazed that they can find anything at all, to be honest.
> It may add to the belief for easily brainwashed people
It doesn't even take an "easily brainwashed" person. People want to believe in something greater than themselves. People want to believe in alien encounters. I had a friend that was a helicopter pilot in the Colorado national guard. They would fly at night, in the mountains, without any lights on. Whenever they were doing night training, UFO reports would sky rocket.
> Like the one set of UFOs that formed a circular pattern
I would be much more impressed with any pattern other than a circle. A circle is what naturally forms when anything with angular momentum (spinning) suddenly breaks apart.
> I never knew there was so much UFO activity going on in our orbit.
As we launch more and more junk into orbit, the UFO activity is only going to increase. There are a couple of sites on the web that will tell you when and where to look to see IFO activity. (Identified flying objects ... space junk) Everything from spent boosters from the Apollo era to flashes of light from sun reflecting off of satellites. Lay under the starts with a pair of binoculars some evening and you will be amazed at what you see flying around in the night sky.

I get you. I am aware of the difficulty NASA has to keep track on hundreds of objects. They mostly track what they can find, and i imagine many small objects will never be identified.
I guess the many explanations about the nature and origin of some weird objects, are due to the need humans have to fill in the gap of the unknown. Some people fear the unknown, others have hope in it, probably as a way of future self realization, probably because of the thrill about novelty. But all in all, this just tells us how little we know about the universe and its mechanisms. I mean, those lights can be about anything, it can be some sort of unknown physics or some kind of spacecraft, it's all about chances ...

Having lived next door to a military base, I suspect a lot of those strange lights (or more appropriately, sounds) are military in nature. I saw (or more appropriately, heard) some very strange stuff in the months leading up to and during desert storm, back in the early 90's.
At the same time, there is a long history of people seeing oddness in the sky. Drawings in caves or books and paintings that are hundreds of years old, etc. As you said, there is a lot we don't know. I try to keep an open mind, but as far as aliens go... it is just too big for the government to really be able to hide. They can't even keep the NSA's domestic spying a secret and that is nothing compared to a UFO/alien encounter. (I've been wrong before...)
