so for those keeping score:

1.) strait of hormuz was open to all traffic transiting for free

2.) trump starts a war every military analyst for 40 years has advised against.  Americans die and the USA bombs a school, killing 150 children

3.) iran closes strait, gas and cargo pricing across the planet skyrockets

4.) trump declares iran's military power completely obliterated and declares victory

5.) trump market manipulates with weekend bombing and weekday market propaganda for months

6.) iran declares they will charge for transit through the strait.  trump and rubio cry that this is a violation of international law

7.) despite claims, trump/USA unable to control the strait

8.) trump now wants to charge the entire world 20% for ships to transit a strait nowhere near America and which the USA does not control

bro is fucked.  this war isn't ending in time to save republicans and besides that they are having a hard time staying alive on their own.  SAVE act is dead and the trump administration just caught its TWELFTH loss in a row regarding demanding voter rolls from states.

I expect that next year we're going to start seeing the unraveling of MAGA and all of this bullshit.  he's burned enough political capital to cover the margins.

I think America losing its top Numero Uno superpower position in the world, will actually be a good thing for America (and everybody else). It's too much pressure to be on top, everyone is gunning for you and you have to expend enormous resources to maintain your borders. Better to contract, face reality, contribute something worthwhile to the world.

Winning is fun. But losing is good for the soul.

Depends if the funds saved from 'withdrawing'from the world are used for the american people, sadly if this happened i could just see them being funnelled into a few peoples pockets.

at this point i would not be surprised if trump cancelled his idea to build a wall in mexico and suggested building one around the U.S instead , hes doing it on a world political level so may as well make it physical.
