Im not making a case bro. Im pointing out decent politicians trying to create a turning point for the working man of america and you are crawling ass about it.
I stated bernies act to add to this thread not to get in a semantic jumble with you about what you me or anyone thinks socialism is or how i need to make a case with anything concerning warren or whatever you feel the meed to abuse here

Whats your problem exactly?
The act can be made better by more time and a team of economists input. Whats with all your hatred?

I’m not “crawling ass.” I’m doing what you just said: “the act can be made better by more time and a team of economists input.” That was my first point. History + package check.

My problem isn’t billionaires. It’s watching good goals die because we skip the economist part. Warren’s 2% failed on execution. 5% on 938 people is worse execution. If you want a turning point for the working man, don’t copy France — 42,000 millionaires left and they repealed it.

I don’t hate the act. I hate watching it lose. You call that hatred. Economists call it risk analysis.

Easy fix, just tack an exit tax on.  Problem solved

We already have an exit tax. So did France. 42,000 millionaires left anyway and they repealed it in 2017.

I guess i just see it all as a pro in the right direction. Acts are gonna fail.
Policy has to be formed.
Bernie had zucman look and sign off on his shit.
In _ yrs maybe we finally have a team on this.
I believe thats a starting point.
Our country is giant, and you are right it is difficult, and more of a team needs to be had on this.
Its worth a giant lens being put on it
But i like to see these policies coming up finally, whatever we call em as to their socio-economic beginnings

Also tax their assets inside the country. You cant pick up and move an estate of 500 hectares.
Im just saying this is the exact convo among actual professionals (not me) that needs to happen

That’s income tax + capital controls. Not a wealth tax. France is the wealth tax comp. They repealed it.

They are undergoing the same thing we arern in attempting to fix policy and figure out how they are gonna do it. From what i understand its a turning point in alot of economies of the west rn

Policy again has to have time to develop.
Zucman says its wealth tax development time now in france, here obvious with the acts, other places in europe. And big populist movement from uk too

I love math. And science, as a way for us to progress thru our problems. I dont care the side of the issue(politically), as long as it works to fix our problems (general popluace)

Exactly. Zucman himself said France repealed it in 2017 because it failed. Now he says “development time.” That’s my point: development = economists + time before launch, not after 42k millionaires leave.

correct. 11 countries did wealth taxes. Something did happen: they repealed them. That’s why we copy Norway’s 0.85% that survived, not France’s 5% that didn’t.

I'm not talking about wealth taxes. I'm saying that it always just devolves into the same thing.

It devolves when we ignore that 11 countries did try. France repealed it. Norway didn’t. That’s not devolving — that’s data.

We can do different. Learn from Norway.

You posting random very precise numbers with no source and repeating the word "economist" forty times does not prove your case.

Numbers aren’t random. France: ISF abolished 2017, Macron. 42k millionaire exits 2000-2012, French Treasury. Norway: 0.85% municipal + state, still active 2026. Zucman: “development time” interview, Le Monde 2023.

Not repeating “economist.” Pointing out this needs them.

Google any of it. I’ll wait.
