Thanks for your feedback.

I’m hoping it’s not contamination.

Another fruit body is growing on the same block and isn’t showing any signs of it.

I’ll just let it run its course for now.

Never seen that.  Thought I lost this culture but it was in my basement fridge.  Started a bunch of these last fall/winter, some were straight HWFP and some I gave a little wheat bran, no sterilization.  Harvested a bunch and then tossed them outside a couple months ago and they're going bonkers now.  This one is from 2-15.

I’ve had this happen before when I was growing in a dreamer tub and was struggling with gnats, I just assumed it was due to contamination.

A small update in case you're interested.

Everything seems to be working again. What did I change? I lowered the humidity and the CO2 level. This way, the box is ventilated more often. He seems to like it.

Humidity: 85-89%
CO2: 600-800 ppm

Harvest time.

I probably should have harvested one of them yesterday; it’s a bit softer than the others. But for a first attempt, I’m satisfied.

Then again, after the harvest comes the next harvest. I don't think there will be a second flush, though—the bags feel like they’ve lost all their weight and are feather-light. But maybe you have some advice on what I can do for the blocks to perhaps coax them into producing a second flush after all?

And does it make sense to clone the best-looking block? If so, what’s the best way to do it? On agar?

Cloning LM is easy, I cloned a grocery store fruit by cutting off a dense chunk at the base of the mushroom, tearing it open in front of my ffu, and ripping a piece out with sterilized forceps. I threw it on a pf puck, then from there to regular agar.

Do, if all goes to plan I'mmaking a dreamer's automated chamber and want to try to fruit some hericuym bags in there.

I can't sterilize grain bags so my idea is to inoculate grain jars with a lc syringe and then spawn them to sawdust pellets bags (I've successfully  pasteurized them throwing boiling water at the pellets in the bag). Then fruit them in the chamber

Does it make sense?

great post.
do you have higher yields when using bags vs monotubs?

When my bird was looking at my computer monitor, I thought, "that bird has no idea what he's looking at." And yet, what does the bird do? Does he panic? No, he can't really panic, he just does the best he can... You’re that bird looking at the monitor, and you’re thinking to yourself, ‘I can figure this out.’ Maybe you have some bird ideas. Maybe that’s the best you can do.

I wanted to test my LC on agar to see if it was clean.
It looks nice and clean to me.

But the little guy is even starting to fruit on the agar.
:howyoudoing:

However, I’m going to hold off on my Lion's Mane until it gets cooler; right now, it’s just way too hot.
