The sensor probe is pretty good but it's not perfect.  Especially at very high humidity.

And the issue with the t3 is it's prone to leaks.

I have the big one too and it's nice.

But yeah not the t3.

You may be able to find like an open box one on eBay.  I didn't pay full price for either one of mine and neither were used.

You may also be able to find someone trying to get rid of one on Facebook marketplace or something similar.

That said, you'll also probably want to invest in a controller if you go that route.

There's a reason I haven't made a write-up for my build, it's expensive, I partially built it to get accurate CO2 readings for data, and frankly credit card debt paid for most of it.  The luxury of not being married and my partner having money and good credit, and me not caring about mine.

I ain't tree, but I do have the AC T3, works great, doesn't matter how accurate it is, because you still need to dial it in to your environment.

Yeah I think a lot of people are happy with them, I did see a number that complained about leaks which is why I invested in other ones.

And maybe that was a manufacturing defect that they've since corrected. AC Infinity is a good company that stands by their products.

So you dont need an inkbird rh anymore with it which is nice.

I see that the probe also tells you temperature. Does it have any other use other than just telling you the temp? Like I Will still need my inkbird temp controller to control my seed heating pads right?

The t5 might be a bit overkill for just 1 or 2 dreamer tubs hmm

Altho the UV light on the t5 is a cool addition hehe

On the t5 how much heat does the warm mist output generate? Like can you pick the temperature you want? Will it replace the seed heating pads necessary to keep your dreamer tub in the 77-78f temp range?

If not what are the benefits of a warm mist

Also do you think the UV light for the mist is pretty useful for growin some pans in a dreamer or its not that relevant


I can afford to buy it if I think it will be worth it. I like having a fancy high tech setup for my stuff

The UV light helps to keep biofilm down.

The sensor probe is their stock probe, so with a controller you can run heating pads off of it.  Otherwise it just monitors temperature.

The warm mist helps to keep the temperature from dropping when the fogger runs.  The temperature is adjustable but it's ten settings rather then specific temperatures, and takes a bit to warm up.  Setting ten can hit 120f.

I mostly run it in the winter and early spring.  I still have to run seed mats.

But my lab can dip into the low 60s at night when the weather is cold.

Also, I'm not necessarily recommending it. I did buy a lot of stuff to experiment.

I'm mostly using the t5 instead of the t7 because the t7 is bigger than I currently need.  And the t5 has more options if I want to adjust things.

As I mentioned I have both, the t7 is in my basement.

Perhaps you could tell me your particular exact settings of fog output and the timer it runs at ? 10 mins per hour for pinning and 10 mins per 3h for fruiting if I remember correctly? but at what fogging output

I will need to tweak it of course for my particular conditions but seems like a good starting point to try since you are the world foremost expert on pans. Then I can adjust accordingly

Better start with your settings than guessing!

I'm always tweaking it.  And I'm running my fogger from one large tub into two other large tubs.  It's going to take a lot less time for a single tub.

Just run it enough to get the casing glistening.  If it's dry run it more. If wet run it less.

But I do like to run it on high (setting 10).  And I use 10 minute intervals.  Right now my casings are looking very dry, so it's going to run all night at 10 on and 20 off.

In the morning I will switch back to 10 on and 3 hours off.  So, these caps can mature well.







In other words fam, I think of it more like an auto mister.  Instead of using a spray bottle, I play with my phone (Bluetooth controller app).

And in a dreamer with the fan running constantly, does the RH drop pretty fast if a fogger isnt working?

It depends on the fans and what setting you are running them on.

In my setup it doesn't, because the way the fans are set up the fruits will dry out if I worry to much about dropping the humidity.  But high humidity and low co2 can work fine.  If I am having issues with blotch, I do worry about it more.

Those are some beautiful fruits their fungus fam.  I'm dying over here to get the 3-disc going, a couple of weeks or so, but in the meantime, these tubs will keep my interest.  I just knocked up 2 Pink Oyster, 2 pink BH, a Branched Oyster, and 2 G2G Pan jars of the fastest fruiting culture (Only a T1). I'll get a clone when I'm ready and fully up and running.  Alrightie Tub growers, giving up the goods!

Well, it was time to pick a few, the slower tub I was worried about finally cracked a pin, I think I may have hydrated the sub a little too quick and she was upset a bit, no worries, I just let the surface dry up thoroughly and misted her up well, but no drench.











And I'll leave the rest to mature more... the Aftermath



And the 2nd tub that is behind the first tub, but not by much, only a few to harvest, I dig the flat caps and teeth!










A few tray shots, it's going to be a harvest week.  Poor me, the Man with a plan to grow PANS!











I pushed the tubs as far as possible air wise, and then dialed it down just a tad.  They matured well and didn't continuing cracking, damn 25 - 35% humidity, but it can be done!

Nice to see that you are active here. Recently i followed your AIO guide and the smallest jar colonised a few days ago, so i put it to bulk. Casing layer is just CV. It looks like this today

This will be my first pan cyan grow ever! i will be happy if i just get some pins from this so i can have a nice trip.

At this point i'm confused about the optimal conditions. Lots of FAE and how much % humidity? Temps are 86f because it's summer.

@lepros, yeah this is actually where I'm most active.  Everything else I see is community outreach :lol:

But to answer your question, optimal depends on everything.  If the caps are blotchy then you are going to want less humidity and more air exchange.

But generally, good air flow and humidity between 90-95 is good for fruiting to encourage larger caps.  If there's less air flow, you'll want less humidity (closer to 85).  During first flush pinning higher humidity and less air flow so the pins and casing don't dry out is good.  And when fogging casings it's fine for the humidity to shoot up to saturation levels.

And it's certainly possible to find a happy medium where you can pin and fruit without adjusting things, but this can be somewhat dependent on the presence of bacteria that causes blotch.

But to quote beefy, it's an intuitive process. We kind of have to learn what the mushrooms like and how to dial things in. Everyone's home is different, sensors can be calibrated differently, and each variety will have different epigenetic markers determining their preferences, and of course some of us grow several different species which can have slightly different preferences.

10 minutes at full steam ahead!!!?? That seems like a shit load of fog at the highest output

It's split between two tubs.  And runs through a third.

If you're blowing it directly into a tub, it's going to be very different.

Here's Blue Helix talking about how much his fogger was running when he was watering casings in his tent.

My fogger also pushes in a lot of air, because of how it's set up and due to how the fogger itself works.  So, I use a more aggressive amount of fog with much shorter but more frequent cycles.

My ten on/twenty off, is 8 hours a day total.  Compared to the 12 he was using.  But this is only when the casing looks dry if the fruits are flushing, and prior to fruiting, only if the casing isn't already at capacity (fine dew all over).  Otherwise the longer cycles (10 on/3 hours off).  But again, I'm always adjusting depending on the heat and humidity in my house.  So, this isn't prescriptive but descriptive of what I'm doing right now during the summer on a hot and humid day.

Also, reading through his posts last month is when I decided to put away the hand mister unless I'm watering between flushes.  Ultrasonic mist is a lot easier to dial in, because the droplets are much much finer.

And what kind of fan placement did you conclude is best from all your trial and error for growin pan cyan only for the dreamer?

Im gonna use TWO of the same fans as the original dreamer setup (the dual fan controlled by the same controller).

Perhaps I should put them both much lower than the lip of the trays? Or one higher than the trays higher up, and one at the bottom to circulate hot air under the trays from the seed heating pads

Here are some pics of the setups I have in mind, I would appreciate some input from you professionals before I start drilling holes.



Which fan config you would think is better?


I also have this configuration possible of trays. These a a bit less wide but taller and can fit a 3rd smaller one in the back.



Any thoughts guys please on which tray configuration and fan placement would be best for my setup? Thank you

I probably wouldn't stack them.

So, option two.

As for the trays, I bet cyans would prefer the flat ones and species like bisporus the deeper ones.  As the former is more sensitive to blotch, and the others air currents.
