I just made the silicone mold of my handle. I also got 2 types of metal tubing. Brass and aluminum (I figure aluminum will cool down faster than brass?) And I also got the resin to make the handles. Im all set. Ill post pics when they are done. I think I'm making 4 of them.

Why would I pressure cook it? Ive never pressure cooked any of my scalpels or other punch out tools.
Just spray with 70%iso and heat the tip before each use.

Ah, well I regularly throw all my utensils in the PC, because I can. Not everyone does that of course. Anyway, curious how they'll work out!

The aluminum melts under the torch flame. So I guess its brass ones only. Lesson learned.

I had to host in-laws for an extended period over the holidays, which meant relocating everything in the vegetable drawers that I didn't want to explain to an elderly midwestern catholic. Got a cheap walmart chest fridge.

It felt silly having a bunch of loose syringes rolling around an empty chest fridge, so I 3D printed this syringe rack, inspired by those old school metal filing cabinets with the little hooky folders that slot in and are suspended. It's made to the exact specs of the fridge, slides in very nice. It has handles that let you take it out like a lunchbox, and are tall enough that you can set other things on top of it without hitting the plunger handles. Or you can just take out a single rack, single syringe, etc. Lil rubber feet because some of the luer caps are taller than I planned for and I needed 3 more millimeters.

The rails are aluminum extrusions for making screen doors. 6 bucks for 8ft at home depot, easy to cut to size. Aluminum + white filament makes it feel a little less obviously home made / printed.

If I did it again, I'd make the pull tab parts less round, to hold tape/labels more naturally. The original idea was to print inserts in different colors so I can tell them apart, but I never actually stock colored filament.

(Aside: walmart's website fully lied about the dimensions of this fridge, it's too wide by an inch to fit under my stairs, and has really fucked my shit right up, but I'm not buying another one, so that's life.)

I like fruiting in ziplocs a-la Faht, but he uses a 16g needle to poke the FEA holes, and I have tons of 18g, no 16g. Not wanting to buy a whole box I made an equivalent in tool steel. I used the 18g before just put more holes, but I want to do it right. 1.60mm OD, 1.20mm hole

The new ones are stainless steel outer tube and brass inner tube.

Here’s a very simple side clip (proton) that I made after seeing a similar project from another grower - pretty handy doodads for keeping dubtubbed 6L sterlite shoeboxes in-place.
