there's an awesome video from a metal band called otep, the song is called warhead....this is must see for either side of the political spectrum

clickly

Annnnnnd I had a light saber and my friend was there and I said "you look like an indian" and he said "you look like satan" and he found a stick and a rock and he named the rock ooga booga and he named the stick Stick and we both thought that was pretty funny. We got eaten alive by mosquitos but didn't notice til the next day. I stepped on some glass while wading in the swamp and cut my foot open, didn't bother me til the next day either....yeah it was a good time, ended the night by buying some liquor for minors and drinking nips and going to he diner and eating chicken fingers, and then I went home and went to bed.

dude, i saw that video on M2 and i must say its about time the metal scene went back to the days of the "Peace Sells, but Who's Buying?" mentality.

I remember growing up in the cold war, this whole culture of fear and lies and consumerism... the only relief I found was from heavy metal bands that stood up against that shit through their art. and when bands like RATM came out in the early 90's it was a breath of fresh air. But then time passed and making controversial statements in popular music went out of style. Now all we have is a bunch of colorful distractions assuring us that everything is OK while the government and big business rob us and turn our world into a fucking sewer.

so anyway, I say kudos to Otep, for having the balls to put their careers at stake so that kids can hear another perspective besides that of Disney and similar media endeavors.

That group fucking sucked, it looked like Blondy on heroin (then again I never liked death metal). But it is political.

it's not really death metal, and yeah there could have been at least a guitar solo to display some sort of musicianship

I really enjoyed the imagery especially with bush ontop of the elephants, or the puppet strings with the gas handles for hands was classic.

and yes that chic is so hot!

I saw a little bit of them at Ozzfest. She was the only one that I heard who made anti-Bush statements all day.

I don't like the music, but she's got.... balls.
