Hell yeah, you might be the first person to get some Tico germinating other than me. I'm excited to see how yours turn out.

semp cabin fucked, surrounded by bacteria like the blob in a horror movie. luckily, got myc from a brf puck that looks good!



bisporus recovering couple days after a shake. lost one jar :sad: but these three look ok I hope




Golden Hawk, going to grain (unless someone says no? myc not running in straight lines makes it look scruffy...)



Tidal Wave looked weak, so took transfers from a puck, hope will grow out nicer.



lastly, took Mak t1's, they're looking ok, but the t0 plate looks so nice I might go back for more transfers :grin:

I haven't done cabins yet, but I'm pretty sure you're supposed to be using a glass slip instead of agar for the roof of the cabin. Unless you're tring to get the mycelium to grow through the roof upwards.

Secondarily, send that hawk for sure.:rockon:

folks are cabining with both, seems to be a conversation, different, but not sure the agar roof is wrong per se. but yeah I have slips too, that's on the to do list. cheers! :rockon:


edit CS info: in this thread kirkeng, tree frog, 3AM and Fahtster all do agar cabin 'roofs' (I think). a recent paper about it uses coverslips, a video presentation about the paper (also in Supa's thread) is a bit ambiguous in wording, but I think is talking about glass coverslips. however also refers to an older school style with agar roof and a plug on top of that for easy transfer when myc grows through the roof. maybe explains some of the (my) confusion?

Well well, if it isn’t a couple of Pan Cyan TTBVI plins…



I cut them up and put them back on agar so I can grow them out since they have proven they like to fruit.

PE: T1's are well-rooted and starting to spread out.  Excited to see how this myc presents itself.

AA+: Sent a T2 plate > 7 jars of low-prep oats. 



I noticed a filter failure as I was slapping labels on the lids...felt like the silicone was no longer sealed and the filter was peeling up.  I secured the edges with micropore, now I hope for the best. 

Either way, feels good to send it :mushroom2:

February 26* Update (ok so I did the work yesterday but was much too tired to post)



Tico F2 T1s, now with correct filial numbering!

Took 2 xfers from the Germ plate I thought looked better/easier to work with




The myc is already poking into the new plates as of this morning, and I am excited to see it move along! Hyped to see how they turn out :rockon:
