Re: Cultivation confessional [Re: BeefExtreme] * 3

I confess some paranoia as of late led me to consider moving some masters and cultures out of the house.

Too bad I'm not more efficient, but at least I got all the prints and a master of both a Semp and a Cube out of the house on Sunday.
After having my all my cash taken, parts of my house and the grow room together with ongoing grows, plates and cultures trashed altogether, I can't wait to start from scratch with a higher level of competence.

On the bright side, cultivation has replaced my drug and drinking habits, so there's that :bomb:

Happy times.

(Edit: Probably not the ideal place to post about it but I had to get this off my chest somehow, somewhere)

Dang man sorry to hear that. One thing I learned early on with cultivating anything was that it’s best if nobody knows where you live or what you’re doing.  I learned this lesson the hard way back when I was a dealer in my teens and early twenties. You can’t trust anyone.  The hard reality is someone you thought was a friend fucked you.

My friend’s that come to my house have no idea about my hobby. The friends I gift with the fruits of my labor think the come from my cousin out of state and the only person that gets anything other than my gummies is that same cousin that lives out of state.

If you’re feeling paranoid definitely move that stuff from your house.

Yeah, I hear you!
The only one who knew was my girlfriend (well, ex that is) who's been living with me for over two years now.

Long story short: That was her way of saying goodbye and thank you for keeping a roof over her head after I tried to explain that she has to take accountability for her own actions and behaviour...

I guess that remark wasn't received as I hoped

That really sucks, Mwj12977, I'm sorry to hear that.

Nonetheless, congratulations on getting rid of someone who was awful for you. Even if it took a massive betrayal to get to that point.

I hope this isn't too soon, but I confess that I personally don't subscribe to that cloak-and-dagger approach. Weed and homosexuality didn't get legalized by people hiding them. But I live in a jurisdiction where nobody really gives a shit, in a city where people mind their own business, so the only thing I have left to do is avoid sketchy people. I don't want them to know anything about me, anyway.

That to me is the key- if you can't trust anybody, then you need new friends and lovers. If you're hanging out with alcoholic cokeheads who drink and drive, then shit's gonna go down eventually one way or another.

All of my friends and family know about my cultivation work. Because, after all, I've always talked to them about what I'm doing. And, more specifically, what I'm growing. Doesn't matter whether it's mint, tomatoes, weed, or psilocybes.

Oh that was myco that lost everything. I’m just super paranoid from my life 25 years ago. I was in my own right pretty high up on the food chain. Had my house broken into a few times. Fortunately for me I never kept anything in my house. Woulda sucked to lose bricks or thousands of rolls. Numerous people very close to me got fed time. One of my friends is doing life and has been since 07. Non violent offenses and life! Fucking crazy!

I’ve got a wife and kids now so I’m just really careful. I’m grateful for this site because it is where I get to talk about my clandestine activities!

What’s crazy is 15 miles away from my house it’s legal! Well decriminalized anyway.

Ah, ok, my bad Myco/Mwj

Yeah, my dad basically told me about that sort of world and instilled such utter paranoia from his time in the 1960's that I always stayed super small potatoes. But you really hit the nail on the head with the fear of getting robbed. I know people who have gotten away with so much, as long as you don't count the masked gunmen turning up at their mom's house to gank hidden cash and whatnot.

I get the kids thing, though. We went through tremendous stealth procedures just to smoke weed when there were still smal children in the house. Now it's just a couple cats licking up the mushroom scraps, and I'm smoking weed with those same children as adults lol

Crazy new world we live in, that's for sure. I think it took my dad a while to wrap his head around the idea that I'm not just perpetually on the verge of getting locked up. His stories from the olden days make even our paltry civil liberties sound pretty damn good.

And yet still we have casualties.

I confess that I often fantasize about just saying "fuck it" getting "1312" tattoed across my knuckles.

Generally speaking cops don’t give a fuck about mushrooms.  As long as you don’t sell anything to a cop they can’t come into your house period. Plus They’ve got opioids to deal with.

It’s the shit out of my control that I worry about. Like you said, the coke head dui getting friend of a friend that accidentally brags about the neighbor that he gets boomers from.

As we all know, nobody’s getting rich off what we do. Lol! I will trade and barter all day long though! Got my kids Nintendo switches for a nice trade!

Half the average beat cops in my city would probably love to get ahold of something that gets you high but doesn't show up on urine screens. But, like I said, I don't hang out with alcoholic cokeheads lol

Yeah it doesn’t really work like that. At least not where I’m from. My cousin is a narcotics officer in a county right outside of Baltimore. I’ve picked his brain many times. They don’t care about anything but coke and opiates. Mainly fentanyl. Shit that kills people; and or people kill for.

If you happen to fuck around with people that are into all that stuff then you may become a target. They can try and flip you to get the people with the hard narcotics. But the quotas thing is a bit of a myth.

If someone is careless enough to get pulled over with a car that stinks like pot and is carrying a bunch of mushrooms, yeah they’re not going to turn a blind eye. Just in general they’re not actively searching for people with mushrooms.

They absolutely would! When I was younger I used to be like fuck cops and was always looking in my rear view.
In 2016 my uncle was killed in the line of duty. During all of the ceremonies and funeral I met lots of officers and really got to know and understand them. Most of them are decent people. The ones that were the biggest assholes were the same ones that were bully’s in high school.
Now I have fallen officers tags on all of my vehicles with his badge number. I’ve been pulled over a few times (once going 90 in a 70) and have yet to get a ticket. If your state offers the “fallen officer” tags I highly recommend getting them. They have saved my ass a few times
