Probably. It's a rolling computer and he has skylink. It's never offline. In this case he apparently had record of where the vehicle charged, and video recordings from the charging stations. Even non-tesla vehicles have advanced trackers nowadays. Just watched a show where a crime was basically solved with vehicle location data, similar to how they use phone location. Then again, gps can apparently be jammed and spoofed relatively easily, so a smart person could make a vehicle appear to be anywhere.

Even the first gen Model S came with lifetime unlimited 3g. Tesla’s are likely the most connected production cars in history. As a result, it’s safe to say they are easily tracked too.
