hiring illegal immigrants and other malpractices, will use amnestied workers to drive wages and benefits down still further.
Surely this can't be! The neocons have assured us that wages wouldn't fall even if they threw millions of people on welfare into the job market. Surely a few illegal immigrants won't drive down wages...

Wow, what a great idea! Let's lower the cost of labor in the American market, and that way we can say we're adding jobs to the economy. Never mind the fact that said jobs couldn't sustain a pissant, let alone a human being.

You already know how it goes..."people should be free to pay whatever the market will bear. Labour is a commodity like any other. If you don't like WAL-MART wages, you shouldn't work there." Why should I as an American citizen pay taxes so some one else's kid can go to school?
And the Walton's don't need to have their freedom impinged on by you collectivists. If they made 600 million a year instead of 6 billion, with the other 5.4 billion going to living wages, taxes for schools and hospitals, social security, and public health insurance for tens of thousands, those 6 or 7 billionaires would only have a few hundred million. WHAT KIND OF FREEDOM HATING COMUNISTS ARE YOU?
And on and on. Until a real social democratic government takes power, the story will keep following these themes and get worse.
It's all about preserving, entrenching and enriching the position of the ruling class with neo-conservatives. They are doing their job well.
