Experienced 'shroomer, soon to try LSD, seeks wise counsel

I?ve finally managed to get hold of some Lucy--a ten-strip of red tabs, with black ?Mickey Mouse? heads imprinted upon them. I am very excited to ?test? the proverbial ?waters,? but I seek your counsel first, fellow psychonaughts.

I?m no stranger to altered states; I?ve done ?shrooms roughly twenty-five times, ecstasy once, went ?skiing? a few times, and have been a regular pot smoker for about four years. I?m not nervous in anyway shape or form--in fact, I?m excited--but I could use some advice on the proper dosage.

My friend said it?s ?mellow? and to definitely take two. I will take two, but should I take more? Is it better to ease into the land of Lucy, or to blow the doors wide open? Being that I am familiar with the psychedelic environment, should I take more? Any advice on what to do to insure the best experience would be most appreciated.

one or two is usually a good place to start. If you are comfortable with the shroom trip lsd should be about the same.

I havent herd of your blotter, but i hope its good.

What he said, The first time I took 1, I wish I would have taken two. But it is alway's safe to test those waters first incase you are sensitive.

I agree with FlusH my first time I only took one. It was a fun trip but would of been better to take two. Two shouldnt be overdoing it unless its very strong

i dont know about that...for a first time i probably wouldent go over 3.

but after that its all up to you cause you know how it is. Next time im def taking 5 and after that here comes 10.

that will be reserved for the dead show tho :smile:

i wouldn't recommend that, usually 2-3 is enough for a good first L trip. sometimes heavier doses are too much for a noob.

Well since your friend said it was "mellow" and to "defintely take 2"... that means I'd take 3 or 4.

Seems like you got some weak stuff and 2 is the minimum to get any decent effects. I'd take 3 or 4.

I ended up taking three hits and didn't really even trip that hard. I was smoking bud, too, so it was hard to tell what the real effect of the acid was. Color seemed intensified and my mind seemed clear. I didn't, however, have any dialated pupils (I thought that was weird).

Since it didn't seem strong at all, I'm going for a 6-tab trip in about four weeks or so; I hope that will at least give me decent visuals....

I would guess that you got extremely week lsd. It seems like you may not have even broken the threshold for dosing. 6 would probably be fun, like a nice mushroomtrip.

Sounds like you got nothing or an RC. Assuming it was real LSD, if you buy more you had better be sure it is of the same paper. 6 hits of good acid would be absolutely ridiculous. Doubling the dosage is NOT safe. I keep seeing all these trip reports where somebody will write "Took two grams of shrooms and barely tripped, so I'm taking five next time." Definately not a safe approach to dosage.

I am around 96.45% sure that i've heard from many people before that the "Micky Mouse" prints were bunk. I think you and your friend got a placebo effect at best. Sorry.

If you take 3 hits of good LSD, there should be no doubt. It should put you in a different world for 6-8 hours.
