I started doing it that way, then settled on doing it without the lid by kind of “pulsating” the weedeater, but by all means experiment with and with out the lid.

Are you using 100% straw?

Might not be relevant because I put my subs outside but I use around 1:1 COIR:chopped straw straight from bag plus compost or Wpoo.

Haven't done it but I was thinking about getting a bale and running a circular saw and then a sawzall 2" from the edge and working my way in.

Those outdoor TTBVI are amazing!

It's finally spring and i'm starting on outdoor stuff, but only some P. subtropicalis has been spawned to a bucket so far.

It's still dropping down to around 8C(46F) at night, could I start spawning some pans to garden beds?

Not expecting fruit, but I'm concerned for their survival until it warms up some more.

Sadly, I lost a tray of weza to trich, my spawn must of been no good, but on the bright side the other tray has more pins popping up now, I think they are enjoying the increased FAE.

Really interesting looking fruit these weza, the caps look a bit like they are made out of clay, I really hope the remaining tray continues to improve and I see a decent flush.

In other news, I have an Aussie pan from Burringbar on agar at the moment, grains generously given to me by 3.A.M, I'm going to try my dam best to try get loads of prints of this variety to distrubute to the community

May be a little cold for them still, they definitely like it warm and humid. Plenty of shade too, even a little direct sun will dry them up quick.
