Meditation, Awareness and Presentation
    #2886937 -

So many here go on about Eastern disciplines such as meditation, martial arts and Zen awareness and then present posts which are half-formed and full of factual and grammatical inconsistencies and errors.

Zen does not mean being focused for 30 minutes a day, and then indulging in sloppiness the rest of the time.

I know that it is supposed to be "cool" to be apathetic, "after all, this is the Internet and anything goes", but what is presented outward, such as laziness and ignorance, is a reflection of what you have practiced and have attained.

"...what is presented outward ... is a reflection of ...  you ..."

... And, where you're currently coming from.

I remember you claimed once that "Swami" is a character that you play on this site. It is not a true reflection of yourself.

However, countless times you make reference to things like "hawks in PAL" to make points. Does that mean that you are the only one capable of making posts that are not character revealing. Are the people that make the posts in question truly slopy and ignorant in their lives?

True. Communication is one of the most important things in both spiritual matters and simply being able to contribute to society.

For some reason, people seem to develop communication skills to a point that they think is "ok" and then cease further development almost to where it seems they are purposely ignoring any chance to learn a new word or refine their grammar abilities.

Personally, my pet peeve is when i use a "big word" during conversation and people make remarks about it and/or make fun of me because of it.

Woah, you're posts are freakin me out man. You and I are on the same frequency of things at this time in the Universe

BTW, do YOU live by what you believe? <- the trick to being fully enlightened.

I'm still battling out the lazy demons, but sometimes they win :frown:

Great point....eastern philosophies encourage living in the moment with total attention 24 hours a day.

This thread needs a return considering some of the threads on meditation I've seen today.
