Broaden my horizon- How does a vegetarian rationalize the slaughter of animals for the sake of their feline friends?

Regardless of whether you do or don't eat meat, you have to admit there's a massive problem with food waste in this country. A friend of the farm dropped off 8 trash bags stuffed with perfect produce from Whole Foods. She'll probably bring by a similar sized load of vegetables every week until the end of the season.

My pigs honestly eat better than a lot of humans. I would have eaten all of that cut lettuce if it hadn't been sitting in a trash bag in a hot car all day.

How much is moderation? Consistently eating meat every day several times a day? Once a day? Twice a day? Once a week? Once a month?
Even eating one serving of meat a day can increase chance of diseases by a slight amount.

Believe it or not, I am not actually vegan. I am an advocate for a plant based diet. I don't consider myself to be an extreme vegan. I understand treating yourself to animal products, but something like once or twice a week.
Last week, I had a massive urge for dairy and egg chocolate bars, pastries and crisps. Before you complain, it's the first time I've ate real junk food in a year.
My last meal was 175 grams broccoli, lightly steamed for 4 minutes, 100 grams of brown rice, 100g tempeh and believe it or not, I treated myself myself to vegetarian chicken nuggets.... and they contained egg whites. With a sprinkling of salt for taste. I have mock meats maybe 2 to 3 times a week.

Pain is temporary. It may last for a minute or an hour or a day or even a year but eventually it will subside and something else will take its place. If I quit, however, it will last forever.

Don't forget, there are many millions of animals that only eat meat and remain very healthy.  Just that fact should make us all question the theory that meat causes cancer.  I'm amazed at my health improvements since eating an animal based diet.  Blown away actually.  I was skeptical about all these people who said they became much more healthy by avoiding plant products.

In my life, I'm surrounded by vegans & vegetarians who don't eat sugar or any junk food - but so many are fat and unhealthy.  How does one become grossly weight eating plants?  It's nearly impossible to gain weight eating animal based. I can eat a dozen eggs, a stick of butter, half pound of bacon, ham, hamburger, salmon, 2 pounds of ribeye steak, and not gain any weight.  I feel so good I'll never return to low fat or plant based.  The mental health benefits are significant.

Red meat takes so long to digest. Eating heavy meats every day can pile on each other and you end up with rotten meat in your intestines. I believe when they did the autopsy on John Wayne they found 10
Lbs of undigested rotten steak in his intestines.
Moderation for everything is key, even water. We can't plow things into our body constantly without some sort of negative results.

A lion and bear are very different from us humans. They can metabolise cholesterol and other toxic compounds in meat. You can't be possibly comparing a carnivore to a human.
Are you sure that's the truth of your daily diet? 12 eggs is 1.8k calories, 1 stick of butter (113g) is 800 calories, half a pound of bacon is 800 calories and 2 pounds of rib eye steak is around 2900 calories.
That's 6300 calories a day, minus counting the ham, hamburger and the salmon.
Either you're a liar, you're an elite strongman/weightlifter that is VERY overweight. or you are an absolute fitness fanatic that does TONS of cardio  And you haven't specified you workout?

The IBS symptoms I've had for decades disappeared when I began avoiding plant based foods.  No more bloating.  No more constipation.  We are made of red meat, and eating red meat is the most nutrient dense food on the planet for humans.  We use meat very efficiently.  My craps are tiny compared to my lifetime of eating plants.

Meat doesn't "rot" in the intestines if lions, bears, tigers, and wolves.

Why would it in humans?

Because our intestines are much longer.

Are you still chasing down the “eating meat causes disease” lie?

Here, I’ll bet none of you actually went and looked it up.

If you’re stupid enough to believe meat isn’t digestible, explain to me why we fall on this chart where we do.

I’m not “chasing down” anything. A primarily meat based diet is unhealthy. It’s not disputed. It’s science.

There are factors that mitigate or exacerbate the health risks. Cooking technique and whether the meat is processed etc.

Not even remotely undisputed, no.

Like "composted" or pre-digested greens in the intestines isn't "rotten"

I’m not going to argue with you about this. It’s beneath me. Sometimes you just try to pick fights about stupid shit. Glut yourself on meat. I honestly don’t gaf. I really don’t want to see you get cancer, but if you did I probably wouldn’t be much affected.

I didn't say that is what eat daily.  I don't need that much energy.  The human body handles a ribeye steak, metabolically, much differently than a plate of pasta.  Or a slice of whole grain bread - which can spike blood sugar more than a Snickers bar.  If you change what you eat, you can double your calorie intake and not gain weight or even lose weight.  We've been told so many lies.

Again, why are so many vegans fat and unhealthy?

I’m not picking a fight lol.

If you don’t have the patience for discussion, dont discuss. Not everyone is chill, I get it.

You’re saying it’s undisputed. It’s not even close to being undisputed. It’s completely disputed lol.

You’re not as chill as you think you are. Not even close.

Again, not going to argue with you about it. Not worth the expenditure of energy.
