A Libbie reviews Moore's latest mockumentary

I haven't seen the movie myself and have no intention of paying to do so. But Christopher Hitchens (a card-carrying Libbie if ever there was one) has. Now, I will admit that Hitchens, though a Libbie, is one of the few Libbies I can read without either collapsing into helpless giggle fits or rushing to the nearest toilet to upchuck. Even when I disagree with his point of view (which is to say almost always) he at least rarely resorts to standard Libbie tactics in presenting those views. In short, Hitchens is one of the very few Libbie editorialists whom I can actually respect.
Here is his review of "Fahrenheit 9/11" --

that guy is a terrible writer. He writes in the style of Denis Miller's ramblings. But this is the only thing i've read by him.
I still want to see the movie but like you I won't pay to see it. I'll take it off of Kazaa like i did to "Roger and Me" and "Bowling for columbine"

Yeah, I especially loved how he slammed Moore's cheap attempt at Orwellian profundity, by using Orwell's own words ! Masterfully done.

But Christopher Hitchens (a card-carrying Libbie if ever there was one
Nah, that's bullshit. Hitchens has a lot of different opinions on things, he supported the Iraq war for example. Certainly can't be called a card-carrying libbie under any stretch of the imagination.

So supporting the war in Iraq automatically makes you not a liberal?

I've been reading Hitchens for years. Not only is he a Libbie, he proudly proclaims himself to be a Libbie.

Who you calling limp dick conservy, sir? If it is Hitchens, you are mistaken. He isn't a conservy, he's a Libbie. If it's me, watch your ass. There's a no-flaming rule in this forum. As for your contention that most Americans are Libbies, that is false. pinky

Not very closely by the look of it. Certainly no-one who has read his recent book "The long, short war" would dream of calling him a libbie. His views have been shifting to the right for several years. It's a strange "card carrying libby" who says he would vote for Bush.
he proudly proclaims himself to be a Libbie
No, you're many years out of date. The last interview I read with him he made a point of saying he had no political or partisian allegiances of any kind.

..no..no...you got it wrong. richer people/ companies are great! in fact the more money they make, the better it is for everyone, because they support business, provide employment, donate to charity etc.. am i right fellow conservatives?
