Let's put thing's in perspective here; Willy gets 10k + hits on videos recommending box fan flowhoods. These "flowhoods" produce molds, common molds produce Aflatoxins:

We are a harm reduction server, our methods reduce harm via "gatekeeping" proper technique/protocols which he routinely and carelessly disregards while havimg a massive/influential platform.

This is but one example.

Does he know what he's doing? No he doesn't. Can this ignorance cause harm? The potential exists, granted it's not high but it's also not 0.

With the number of views he gets it's only a matter of time before someone does something that negatively impacts their own health and potentially the health of others.

nothing is stopping the shroomery from having a youtube website, and fighting with willie on youtube would probably get a lot of views, and people love drama on youtube

I just think its wrong here.

I'm not defending willie, I'm saying the conduct of this board in this string is off track.

I think you're missing the point, no one wants to fight him. We just think he's a scumbag that's knowingly taking advantage of people with the single scope of making money.

It's the taking advantage part that people have a problem with. If he was providing good mush cult advice no one would say shit about him.

How should The Shroomery deal with the tidal wave of bad information inundating the OMC? If this thread is bad and the wrong way, what's the right way? Ignore it all together? Nevermind the fact that the shroomery is a collection of individuals, not a single entity. It's not like we can all participate on a Youtube channel together.

By the way, I did watch that video and I did build one of those and no, it was still not dry in 36 hours. I let it run for 48 and then finished it up in the dehydrator. I directly built and tested his idea and no it did not work and I live in a very dry environment. Have I been victimized by willie and didnt know it? I dont see it that way. I directly hands on tested an idea and it came up short. I dont consider it a failure or a victimization, I consider it an education.

Botulism would have been a great teaching tool :lol:

So far we've covered botulism and aflotoxin as possible consequences to his advice.

Storing improperly dried mushrooms of any species in an airtight container can produce botulism.

And how long has it been known here that using heat to dehydrate fruits is what you want to do? You could have gotten that education here and saved yourself the trouble, time and resources.

Is it possible you are projecting your own violent thoughts into this thread? Is it possible that's why you thought this thread was turning into some kind of gang-violence mob? It was always about calling him out and exposing his BS. None of us wanted harm to come to him. How else could people be warned not to send him money for bad advice?

My interest in this thread was piqued by the less than conscious herd behavior, expel the outsider! 

Somehow this has come to the fore without my help.

The world is not your garden willy is not a weed to pluck he is a being like you.  However devoid of skill knowledge or selflessness this person is his existence enables yours.  It's okay.
