I dunno? I think it had something to do with their government bombing the shit out of [Russian trained and funded terrorists who had taken] the eastern part of the country  [by force], then massing of 100 000 troops [in continuation of that internal conflict that had been stoked by Russia], so Putin['s troops] stepped in[to a foreign country, with the goal of capturing as much land as possible before Ukraine could be afforded the full protection of NATO.]

US Bad? The US practiced diplomacy. We've been giving them aid since they became a country. Now is the goal there to project power and influence? Sure. Is it backed by cynical capitalists hoping to find new markets to exploit? Absolutely. But it's still aid. Aid that they ask for and happily accept.

Russia's puppet got chased out of town because the people there wanted to be more connected to the west. Russia responded not with diplomacy, but by sending boots on the ground.

That's the difference.

Lol did you read that link it contradicts your claim of 100,000 of Ukraine troops it says Russia accused Ukraine of deploying half that number to the east.

Also says Russia denies it plans to invaded.

Great link:congrats:

The revisionist history about this all is pretty intense. Yes, the US overthrew Poroshenko, or at least helped do so. However, he wasn't necessarily Pro Russia even if he did rebuke the NATO deal that ultimately sealed his fate.

https://www.voanews.com/a/ukraine-poroshenko-secures-less-us-aid-than-hoped/2459863.html

Quote:
Addressing a joint meeting of the U.S. Congress last week, Ukrainian President Petro Poroshenko asked for military aid and a special security status for his country. Poroshenko said his army needed more military equipment - both non-lethal and lethal. “Blankets and night vision goggles are important,” he said, “but one cannot win a war with blankets.”

After President Poroshenko’s speech to U.S. legislators, the White House said it remained committed to help Ukraine establish security and stability, respond to humanitarian and reconstruction needs, carry out constitutional reforms, restore its economy and fight corruption.

President Poroshenko returned to Ukraine with an aid package of $53 million, but without the lethal military equipment he requested. That aid was in addition to approximately $291 million in U.S. assistance and a $1 billion loan guarantee for Ukraine this year.

It must really sting to know the US wasn't stoking wars or selling arms (for once).

All of this was a much needed example of the use of the US military and the like....after years, decades of being on the wrong track, this is a reminder that yes, it can be used the right way.

“I must not fear.
Fear is the mind-killer.
Fear is the little-death that brings total obliteration.
I will face my fear. I will permit it to pass over me and through me.
And when it has gone past I will turn the inner eye to see its path.
Where the fear has gone there will be nothing. Only I will remain.”

The US didn't overthrow Poroshenko?

I think you mean Yanukovych... and there was a lot more than the US' influence at play there.

There are several reports suggesting that Russia was behind the coup in Mali as two coup plotters Colonel Malick Diaw and Sadio Camara were said to be trained in Russia before staging a coup.[27][28]

Interesting, by that token, Bin Laden and all the other "terrorists" that were trained on American soil must suggest that the USA is behind most terrorist actions (I mean,  I'm already aware that that is the case, but......)

And maybe any soldiers that any US trained "free agent" trains is also a subsidiary of USA.

Russian forces in Kherson are cut off after a bridge across the Dnipro was destroyed. Time to mop up some fascists.

Russia continues to make the most obvious tactical mistakes you could make. Instead of falling back to a hardened defensive line and allowing enough time to rebuild enough troops and equipment which they seem to have trouble mustering anyway they've chose to keep pressure on ukraine with smaller offensive forces that aren't overwhelming enough of a surge to enable decisive offensive action to make any serious gains in the war. They also seem to be failing to protect logistical supply lines to these forward troops. Also they failed to redeploy enough troops to squash the counter offensive in kherson. Again it seems like they don't even have enough troops to proper sure up the entire front. They don't understand the concept of death by 1000 cuts. :youseethisshit:

Russia is going to benevolently give Kherson back as a show of good will like they did with Snake Island and Antonov International Airport.
