Thanks my friend. Hoping to get my first monos up and running before these cultures are ready. I have only grown PF cakes thus far and still always try to keep some going for experimentation but now it's time to put my big boy pants on and take the next step. Should I expect my link in a PM? Once you send it I will add to my signature.

^^that's your link^^    what I meant when I said I'd make you a link I was saying I'd properly add you to the list of participants in the OP, but that's the link. You're good to go!

Incase you didn't know in the OP on the list of participants if you click on their name it takes you straight to their journal page, so that's what I'll do for you. You can add the provided link above to your journal and look really cool like the rest of us

Fuggit - may as well just do it now while I'm still coherent and thinking about it

Edit: you are now officially added to the OP and ready to join the 'Hot Mess Express'. BTW I love your trippin' partner, Benjamin

Oh yeah!!! Let the shit show begin! Thanks btw...he has a strange personality but he is sweet, loving, and very protective. Best alarm system money can buy. Still doesn't beat the squirrel I saw somebody have on their LAGM page. Thanks for all your help getting me started.

Yeah I call Stitch my 'wireless doorbell'. I also refer to her as my 'special needs frenchie' too though so there's that..sometimes she farts so loud it scares her and she barks at it  I wouldn't trade her for the world but I will also add that between what we paid for her plus all of her medical bills I could have bought a brand new truck (thank GOD we got pet insurance!).

Anyway, your LAGM looks good man! I saw you post over on the agar envy thread and I think you'll have a much easier time cleaning up cultures if you take MUCH smaller transfer pieces - think like the size of a grain of rice. As small of a piece of mycelium as you can possibly grab the better

Anybody want to take bets on whether or not I'll finally spawn my Gandalf tomorrow? :rofl2: I really want to, so that has to count for something but I've got a mountain of chores to get caught up on and I need to squeeze in a SAB session before another hockey game so it's anybodies guess.

Hey thank you Space! That means a lot to me coming from someone as eloquent as yourself  I love that you always use words I have to google in order to respond properly

I've been told a few times I have a way with words, though usually in reference to 4 letter words and in hockey we just call that as 'chirping' lol. Sadly my days of playing hockey are long since over because of a lower back injury. Now I'm just a spectator.

I've got a busy life, but I'm not sure that makes it beautiful. With all the shit I'm juggling I still managed to find enough time to grow drugs. Imagine the debauchery I wind up in with SPARE time in my schedule lol

Yeah I love that dog. My wife got him to try and help me to get over loosing both my girls in the same year. Its been years and I am still not really over them. I make sure to bury my spent cakes around them so they can trip too lol.

Thanks my friend. I suppose I will have to break out my ghetto ass noc loop. I couldn't find it and have been lazy with those cultures. I guess I will see when T3 time comes around. I got time to clean those since I have a bunch of grain cooking for another project. I may have bit off more than I can chew also. It's crazy over here doing this in a cluttered moldy old trailer.

My bedroom is turning into a bio lab quick and I have to find space for all these monos that are going to collect very soon. It will be like hoarders but with monos everywhere! LMFAO My wife is very OCD and she will go nutzoid when the tubs start piling up but they gotta grow somewhere I suppose.

Anyways have a good night dude. Thanks again for the advice and getting me started in here.

Photo dump incoming. I have been super busy, but have not been slacking on my cult.

First up, the jars from my T1 EZ LC. After the pour, I let the LC recover for a few days, then gave the jars a gentle shake/roll to redistribute the moisture and this is the how recovery was looking like other night. They have been shaken again since.

Up next, last pic of the T2 ‘Wizard Hat’ LC from the night before it went to grain.

That T2 culture came from the fastest of the T1 cultures and the LC was ready for grain by the time this T2 culture, from other T1 which got advanced, grew out.

Both got sent to grain on the same day this week, setting up a head to head between the EZ LC innoc and A2G.

I normally drop smaller wedges, but for LAGM, I went big. :derfase:

To keep things fair, both the LC jars and the A2G jars got the gentle shake/roll to redistribute moisture and imbed the culture after innoc. Not much to photograph right now, but a few days in, everything is recovering well.

Also coming from the second line of T2’s, I started an EZ LC with the ‘Monolith’ culture.

This one is going to be fun to watch grow up around the wedge.

:creepylurker:

Last up for GD, the first T3 cultures. I had a hard time deciding what to do with these and ended up taking one to T4 and the others I made into EZ LC’s. The proof will be in the fruits I guess but all the Gandalf cultures have looked amazing and I like how using Pasty’s LC tek is allowing me to stagger the workload and expand them further within a single container.

Finally, for my PE attempt, the T2’s are showing a lot of diversity and maybe want some more work but the T1 EZ LC is looking pretty hot.

My true me came out. Haven't updated in a month. All my labels are smudged off.
Here's some unknown pins

I don't care about actives, I only need so many for me and a select few. I like to experiment and break the known processes. Everything is on manure, hay, coir, verm, mixed by bakers feel.
Casing is classic 50:50. Everything has been cold limed, I'm stubborn and want to just use lime and no heat.

lol y'all are a strange breed! I mostly played D but could rotate in as a wing when needed. My problem was that I've got silky hands but I was too slow to be a forward (and wing, honestly) and I'm tough as nails but at 5'9" I'm a little under-statured to be taken seriously as a defenseman.

Every year I think about joining a 'beer and pretzel' hockey league but as soon as I lace my boots and take a couple warmup laps my back is shot and I can't walk for a week. Damn I miss the game!

One of the last years I was able to skate I was out fuckin' around on a pond behind my old apartment and a guy came up and asked if I minded if him and a few friends joined in. I got to talking with him and it turns out he used to be the goalie for our local college team and at the time he was the coach of our farm team - his friends were all semi-pro Czek, Russian and Finnish kids  they brought a net, we had a fully padded goalie and had a fucking blast! The thought of open tryouts left my head pretty quickly after that day

I just took a peek at and gave my TAT and Jack Frost tubs a light mist and they're lookin' like a dense pinset is coming along any day now! You'll just have to take my word on that because I'm too lazy to take a picture right now

Albino Cambo looks nice and Gandalf..well, Gandalf is still in his jars watching the party from across the room

:Morgan Freeman narration: Is today the day Bigfoot finally frees Gandalf like a genie from his bottle and spawns him into a tub, or will Bigfoot crack a cold one and waste away another day? You know as well as I do that the odds favor the latter but maybe that old dog is ready to show LAGM his new trick.

Fuck yes, buddy!

Here's my little update.

Quote:
February 27th

I let the jars sit for a few days after full colonization was achieved and today I made 3 tubs, using 4 jars per tub and culture (1:2 ratio, grain/coir). No top layer or casing was applied (yet).

In addition, I spawned 4 jars from culture 8 (the best looking one), split into 2 buckets (2 jars per bucket, 2:3 ratio).

As far as pics go, nobody needs to see some freshly spawned tubs.

Damn, I feel bad. Ive been avoiding an update forever. Gunna get that figured out today. Its been too long so now I'm not sure how to even organize it.

But as an update others may care about, I did get in all the materials for making up most if not all of the giveaway tools. So I should be making good progress on that front this week. :awesomenod:

Pan cyan peace river poking through the new casing layer already. This happened quite fast given that I scraped off the entire top surface with a spoon just 4 days ago:

Pan bispo and pan cyan tubs colonizing quickly and about ready to be cased:
