Good day on Dartmoor again, 500 or so in a couple of hours. Still hoping for carpets of them like we’ve had in previous years and like some of you are finding further north. Mustn’t grumble though, it’s been a beautiful day!

I really dont want to come out empty handed if i can help it.
So i have cake to this forum to get to help.
If anyone can  suggest some locations that would really help me out.
I know to go to high altitudes in grassy areas that hasnt been plowed.

I haven't kept an eye on the recent weather like a silly sausage. Where has the rain been this last week.

Any tips abd locations would be amazing guys

Logged in to say don’t eat those, none are libs. Sorry to be the bearer of bad news. SE hasn’t really flushed yet, so keep hunting

The UK fucking sucks bro. There’s the odd few places that are kinda nice but it’s mostly a shit hole. You’re lucky to live in Canada.

A good way to trip is on the spot where you found them - pick & trip. I used to do that and listen to dramatic music through headphones, watch the clouds and mist roll over the hills, it can be amazing. Definitely better than tripping at home.

The big mush at the top look like either p.strictipes or are they just oversized big libs?

Hey y'all

Beautiful pictures all round, nice to see such beauties and wonderful landscapes.

I'm looking for some advice or feedback, I've been hunting the last 4 days running, and have found scant few. Many years ago I would pick in the Wye Valley and would find 100's and 100's all over. This year only 3 in my old field, none in the other, I went further up on other side of river and found 50 odd in a small patch.

They following day, Brecon, a long walk and nothing at all. Third day back to Wye Valley, a new spot, and whilst I did find some, 20 odd, they were all singles, by themselves over a large area.

Today, a long walk along a ridge in Dartmoor. And only one!

I kept thinking I've missed the season, but I see they are still around from other people's finds, so either my timing or nose is off, or there is something else at play.

Many thanks, and happy hunting

There are lots on dartmoor currently, although ones i've found have generally been very small and near impossible to spot in the wet (i believe yesterday was wet).

I tend to only bother going out when the roads are just about dry from the sun after being wet. Find a spot and walk with the sun behind me so it reflects off them, then i walk back into the sun, take a few steps sideways and repeat.

This is the best season for 7 years up in Northumberland..I only have to visit the same local sheep field and picking is easy. just this last week I've collected over 1kg wet. my dehydrator is working overtime this season! It's not slowing down yet either...marvellous!

That’s a good tip keeping the sun on your back, makes them much easier to spot. Many times I’ve seen one and when I get to it there’s half a dozen wet ones that I would have missed.

Yes agreed many parts of the Uk are rundown and the state of health of the nation seems to be getting worse . Take a walk down one Uk high streets and the level of obesity, alcoholism and drugs is embarrassing. On a positive note we have some amazing countryside, beaches and the mighty lib. I do feel shrooms are one of the solutions to changing the situation. Teaching us to trust our instincts and avoid the pitfalls that are present in modern day society. The key is positivity.

Meteoblue is one of the best weather websites I've come across, you can look back over the last month and see when it was raining and how much, how many days the temps have been low and how low, even a cool accumulated precipitation chart.  :nerd:

Hey all

Thanks for the replies. I was in the northern part of the moors and just found it very wet and absent of mushrooms. I can normally pick them out at quite a distance but the wind and rain may have added to the difficulty or it just wasn’t the right place.

In going to try further south tomorrow, hopefully more luck!

All the best

Questions [Re: ragu]
    #27520197 -

hi guys, I've been on a couple walks over the past couple weeks and have collected about 40 libs. I've just been drying them in my room on a sheet of paper for a few days and then storing them in a clean plastic container in a drawer. Is this ok? Haven't even washed them. I've seen online people drying them in the oven then putting them in a glass jar with some silica. Are these steps super important?

I'm hoping to get a nice little collection and try a dose within the next few weeks when I have a couple days off work. Does the psilocybin content decrease after too long in storage like this?

Thanks in advance guys it's my first time so want to be safe

They’ll stay potent for ages, make sure they’re cracker dry or they’ll rot. Don’t wash them as they are soluble with water. 40 will give you a nice trip, most I’ve had is 90 which was very strong. Enjoy!
