oysters on grain?

I have read comflicting reports on this that they dont like grain and some that say its fine
so here are the details I had some culture of pheonix oyster and had a bunch of finch seed here so I said what the hell and knocked up a couple half gallon jars with the culture
as a experiment I added some corn cob to one jar since its super cheap
my plan is to spawn to straw and do a batch with sawdust too to compare results
what do you think will work out?
both the jars are showing growth at the moment

Grain and sawdust work but not very well, they're better used as spawn. straw will have much higher yields.

I think by thursday I am gonna spawn a jar to straw I will have a ton left over maybe I will knock up the compost pile in the garden
and do a GtG as well to keep the culture going for a little while
